Yea seems awesome, I'm torn though man they have East West at $149 and its usally $240 a year

 

USE IT! I have wasted hundreds, maybe thousands of hours speculating audio gear, sound libraries, drive configurations, blah blah. I could have spend that time just making more music and keeping regular backups. When you need a new tool, you'll know exactly through experience. Don't be like me, use those hours for making music.

See my story is I come back online maybe nearly 2 months ago for the first time in over 15 years I was no longer in the music production scene since I had no time to do so. I'm currently out of work due to a ligament tear in my right wrist that cost me my job, and now I have a lot to do nothing while waiting for my next sugery. So I feel like I don't have the tools or prepared for what I want to tackle LOL. I've still yet to get my midi controller because I need to make space and decide between the few I have in mind.

 

Right now I have tons of libraries for Kontakt just sitting in my download folder after being unzipped and not installed yet. That's going to take a lot of time for sure.

and its the full catalog, musio is cinesamples which are newer samples over all, better scipted, and the engine is lighter on cpu and ram. its a no brainer. and again youll own it at 149.

still better than a 149 sub for a year. and all TOS are like that. what is your point? any major software company could pull the plug on you, odds of that happening are slim

 

I'm pretty sure that if you have a text file open in the background as you play through them and note down each of the sections and instruments from different libraries that you really like, it will be time well spent once, that you won't have to repeat other than to add when you get e new library.

 

You used the word "OWN". It's legally different from a perpetual license.
Sure, it's better than other deals. But not to confuse others, since "perpetual" licenses may last long.

yes because with software perpetual means you use the software indefinitely, its the cloest thing to traditionally buying something and owning it with software.

 

cinematic strings minified links are down. I got the full version to evaluate with the 1.7 update.

This depends there are Minified Libraries which have been converted to 16 Bit and all mic positions stay intakt they most of the time called "Lite" over on Sister Site.

The real minified ones use only near mic most of the time which is why they can be so small compared to the real Thing.

Back to the Topic.

Ark 1 has definitly my go to Low and Highs Strings for Dark Vibes.

The Audio Imperia Stuff is also very nice for that in your Face Sound.

Something like Albion One imo is more suited for happier Performances.

Nexus got some pretty dope ones in their newer Hollywood Expansion for quick sketching or layering to get a more unique Sound.

Chris Hein is very good love the Violin Section.

The Cermona Quartett by NI (4 Masterpieces)

Than there is the overused Romantic Gypsy Strings from the Strezov Balkan Lib but it really sounds amazing and unique.

What i higly recommend are the Bohemian Cello & Violin for Falcon which have a nice Script that switches Articculations or you can turn that off if you want to control everything by yourself.

 

If you use the Kontakt Tools to add Libraries is pretty Quick just select the Folder containing the Libs and it will add all which have a .ninct File at once.

There is a Thread over here on on AudioSex where Members post there Selfmade Pictures so you can easily create your own .ninct file if there is a Lib which does't have one.

If you add Kontakt Libs one by one it will definitly take forever.
