Well, I'm part of young people lol. I'm under 21 and have been fiddling with a DAW on a laptop since I was 12. I used to not have that many friends (if any), so I mainly just came home from school and played around with synths, effects (plugins) and that's how I learnt what I know today. I have definitely more friends now, but still loneliness is an actual issue in my generation, but that's a whole another topic.

Now I have less time for music sometimes, but I still like doing it.

No DAW is going to "win". FL Studio may be the most popular by numbers because of availability and current-generation influence. Every DAW on the high-end has a feature or two that makes it compelling against another. I use Logic, Ableton, Bitwig, and Reason depending on the inspiration of the day.

Something positive: then you have already done 7-8 years of musical ear training and have a musically trained ear.
In addition, making music is good for the soul and good for creativity. So time well spent.

In the past, you would learn an instrument for 9 years and then master it perfectly. You would then look for other musicians and meet at home or in the practice room. Today, the drum machine replaces the drummer, EZBass from Toontrack replaces the bassist, etc.! As a teenager, you went to school and met up with friends in the afternoon on the lawn or to play football or went dancing at the weekend.

When you turned 17, you started an apprenticeship and met up outside in the evening after work and sat together. Sometimes you read a book or listened to an LP. You also rode a bike and didn't just roll around motionlessly on electric bikes and scooters. Sports clubs or youth groups gave you a sense of community and a little sense of purpose.

After their apprenticeship, some got married, some joined the military, some became unemployed and some found a permanent job.
Loneliness is and will remain a major issue for all sections of the population. There are already initiatives where I live that are doing something about it. It also makes sense to switch off your cell phone completely and see what groups there are in the area where you live.

You can also start your own group or club. Build your own practice rooms. You can also talk to people from the youth center, churches and politicians. You are still young and have your whole life ahead of you, buy yourself a few smart books, maybe learn Tai Chi or go to a martial arts club, there you will get to know other people.

Studio One has the most potential. It's a really good DAW, especially for mixing.

I'm afraid in time the majority will veer away from raw talent based music, learning to play an instrument or learning to sing, with autotune in play you don't have to sing on key anymore, and focus their energy towards learning to make AI based soulless electronic music, we tend to call it progress, but in reality it's the total opposite, IMHO

This sentence is true to a large extent, but users' opinions should also be respected. When a user wants something from a developer and that developer gives him something else instead of meeting that user's need, in this case, when the developer asks for money from the user, that user gives him a f..k instead of money.
Some developers don't care much about users' opinions and develop whatever they see fit. Some DAWs have many shortcomings and unfortunately their creators do not care much about their completion.

In the future, Ableton will run as an operating system and Windows will be loaded as VST

I will, if you can show me where the Pause button is in Logic.
I totally agree, reason why i don't use Logic ie. way too complicated:rofl:
Well, Google, Meta, MS & Apple reportedly find it hard to dedicate web, satellite and drone resources to spy on pigeons. Thus pigeon communication should be considered spyware and data mine free.

Making music can be harder than rocket science. You can look at music simply as well. We are the ones who decide what kind of music we make. If the goal is to make simple music, you can ignore many details and be satisfied with simple tools, but if the goal is to observe all the details completely and perfectly, then very precise tools are necessary. Many DAWs have a simplistic view of music and subsequently simple workflows, and the genres they target are simple genres, and they have made related tools according to these simple genres. But when the genre of music becomes more complex, the detail increases astronomically, and this is where many DAWs already lose because they are not designed for this level of complexity.

A screwdriver is a "complex tool" to a chimpanzee, if he doesn't know how to use it, so your point is moot.....more complex software does not equal more complex genres of music.....just saying
