I alreasdy expanded my laptop to an internal 8TB lol, I'm going to have to get an external SSD. These orchestral libraries are HUGE

 

Oh 8TB internal, great deal. I bought 2 external 4TB SSDs from Samsung, one for my film collection and one as a backup for my data and music. I hope I never have to buy anything else again and that the SSDs last as long as I live.

I collected everything there was and in the end I deleted and archived a lot of it, these updates are always annoying for me. I always create a folder with pictures and file names and dates and sizes. At some point I got fed up and stopped downloading, only the most important and necessary, otherwise you drown in data and you don't have enough time to make music.

Make more music is the motto. Our generation is a digital one and we have already made 2/3 of the inventions. Now comes the age of AI and improvements to individual synthesizers.

 

I hear that, I still have like 500 gb when I install as this crap and delete the installation files.
Man AI is going to kill music production I believe, it will take any skill out of it.
Is there a way in FL to make folders? Like where you have Synths in one, Reverb in other, Multi Fx etc, all different folders.

 

You also need enough storage for your recordings later though.

I agree with you. People will buy it though, an American who makes software said: we just need to write AI on it and people will buy it like crazy. Many people believe that technology will solve their problems. They are very wrong. AI or intelligence is a term used by the marketing industry for the next big business. Minified? That's usually close mics only, right? Understand that close mics with reverb on them will always sound like close mics with some reverb on them. Mic positions are even more important if you're going to use reverb.

I think minified means taking the samples from 24 bit and decreasing them to 16, and repacking the library.

I just got it for the full string orchestra you will need a lot of Ram. luckily there is a lite version included that works for me on my super old laptop 15 - 8g ram. found it on rutracker

String Murmuration & Small String Gestures are phrase based libraries. The included melodies were freely recorded without synced to a tempo. This means these strings won't work to fixed tempo. If you watch the video by Crow Hill, you will see what I mean.

 

its monthly but they have sales..often and you can buy a lifetime license all libraries are inclunded i invested in musio early on and paid for a lifetime licence its been amazing and the engine is very cpu friendly i can load the whole catalog in at just under 32 gb of ram also
