I found another bug, when I hold a note on the keyboard and move the mode wheel or macros (with the mouse), they don't work properly and seem to get stuck. I'm using version 5.1.1.

New features are always good to get, that's how the software evolve ... If you want to stay at Windows XP and Cubase SX, please do.

That's not true, turn your hearing aid up a bit, Nexus 2 sounds more analogue and warmer, a bit blurry. Nexus 5 has one of the best sounds of all software synthesizers. So it was worth using the new Nexus 5, it's a clear improvement that benefits us.

Well first off we were talking about Avenger v1 vs v2 not Nexus, secondly Nexus is not a synth it's a rompler, at least it was until this update. As for your other question, I was in a coma...music really took a turn for the worst I see.

You can see the progress of technology in the Avenger, what can be done will be done, people have never given up on technological progress. What is great for one person is rubbish for another.

Welcome back my friend, I haven't watched TV or listened to the radio for years. I don't read newspapers anymore either.

The eighties and early nineties were very innovative, to this day I prefer listening to old disco stuff or Italo disco and bands from the 80s. With the introduction of the internet and the smart phone, the good old days ended and the digital age began. But you can still just turn off the radio or the TV at home.

And I don't need the antisocial media - I don't care about the so-called followers either.

 

I must say, after two days of testing: At least the GUI feels like an early alpha version. There are just too many things that are not ready yet!

Depending on what DAW you are, there is a workaround for the resetting GUI size. In Cubase e.g. you can set the GUI size and save it as a Cubase preset (not a Nexus preset) under "default". This way every time you open a new instance it'll use the GUI size you defined (besides several other parameters you can set there)
As said, not a solution, a workaround.

I can't reproduce it. I'm on 5.1.1 legit. You use 5.1.1 VR do you?
Maybe a side effect or depending on preset? To test properly: Restart DAW, use new instance. Set to initial Sawtooth. Is it the same?

I use Ableton and FL. This problem exists in FL, but it works fine in Ableton. I also checked the FL settings, but it still doesn't save to 100, but it works fine in Ableton.

Yes, the Mod Wheel macro texts are very small, and the same is true for the effects texts. To fix this problem, my monitor needs to be above 110, which will take up the entire screen.
It's the same in the layers, modulators, etc.
The black theme is good, but when I turn off one of the layers, it's very hard to see in the routing section and it becomes almost the same color as the plugin itself.
My monitor is 1080p.
Of course, I don't know if there are different themes in the legal version.

I think the GUI still needs some work to be done.

I fixed this macro stuck issue by turning off the accessible keyboard in the usability settings and it worked. I'm using the VR release.

 

Posted earlier that everything worked 100%, and it did the first session. Not the second, I got missing files on presets Gauber and a couple others I cant remember but they were sequences too. Anyway those were just a couple of examples, I assume this error affects quite a few other presets.

Was already on the tipping point with this synth so now I'm uninstalling, goodbye Nexus, yet another rompler out the window

 

Check the NKS folder if the folder is named the same as in presets?

 

Why does nexus create this "analog" saw wave instead of a clean one? So instead of using the "Virtual Analog" oscillator I tried using a sample or a wavetable, but I still get the same result!

You can make changes from where I drew the line.

 

Nexus is no more a rompler, you can create sounds from scratch using VA osc, FM osc, filter, env ... just like any synth.

For Avenger the V2 has also a better sound from V1.

) it's stated that Manuel (shown in the video) is part of the "creator" of Nexus 5 ....

So ... Manuel took part in both Nexus and Avenger, probably not as code writer, but giving concept, ideas, and so on ... A dev team is not only the guy who's coding the program ;-)

He is still the man behind Vegeance Sound and very talented sound designer.
