The unloading (removal in DAW) of Nexus 5 could do with some improvement.

 

First time I ever tried Nexus and I have some mixed feelings.

From one side, I feel like it has a lot of creative potential and a pro sound.

But on a 2nd thought, I feel like I'm playing with a sophisticated and expensive toy, nothing more.

I guess this is the 2nd impression that will prevail and I will most likely end up uninstalling it.

 

I'd probably feel the same way if I showed up 18 years late to the party.

unfortunately reFX has discontinued the NKS support for known reasons.

For all those who want to continue using Nexus5 with NKS, I have added a download link for the NKS presets (including the previews) of the “N5 Factory Preset” folder below.

Unfortunately, I was only able to create the presets for the VST2 plug-in version of Nexus5.

Hopefully a VST3 version of the presets will soon be available for purchase from another well-known third-party NKS developer from Australia.

As soon as that happens, I will leave you a note here.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy using them.

I did this and I also managed to solve everything, but the 'Vintage Bonus' expansion, I don't know how to fix it so that it is in the 'Expansions' tab and not in 'Folders'. Do you have any solution? Thanks.

 

Yeah the txt only mentions the 2 small files, not the content folders... Which are equally important, to say the least.

So, the folders NKS,Presets,Samples you drop into here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\NEXUS library\

For Nexus 5.1.1 i chose "clean install".

Gone through about 200 presets (total 1.1 k presets) including Feller and Glauber, EVERYTHING WORKS 100% (also auto-preview) in Bitwig 5.2, nothing Nexus related previously installed.

First time trying Nexus and not entirely convinced, sure most presets are great but Sylenth1 with 20k presets and ultra fast browsing for 1% of the size works too ;) And I can't say the leads in Nexus are better, the sequences yes, they have multisamples and everything. But I would never use those anyway.

It appears for those having issues that a clean install does the trick. Also the V.5 factory content is huge @ 11+GB's

 

i don't like the new gui. the nexus 4 gui was alot better.

 

This happens on legit version too. I've submitted a ticket to the support so hopefully they will fix it soon.

I have a problem with the gui

When I set the interface to 100, when I close it and reopen it, the interface does not save at 100, it returns to 90. I tested this on 150 and 200, and the same thing happens again, but on 75 this problem does not occur. After closing and reopening the plugin, it saves at 75.
Even when I do it manually, it returns to 90.
This problem also occurs when I enable or disable the keyboard.
the texts are very small.

Overall, I think the interface 4 was very good. In version 4, when I manually set it to 82, everything was displayed very well for me. Now, it is at 100 in version 5, which does not save. Of course, even in 100, it takes up most of the monitor screen.

People who have the legal version can please send a ticket so that in the layers and modifiers section, can be made smaller and larger by holding ctrl, just like in the presets section.

 

Avengers offers more option but has never been cracked ... so ... ;-)
