Last week news broke that UK ISPs are teaming up with copyright holders to notify Internet subscribers caught sharing pirated material. The plan has been widely covered in the media, but unfortunately fact and fiction are often intertwined. So how scary are these piracy warnings really? Let's find out...

Diabulus in Musica This will never be True Cause
ISPs Is The First Victim of this agreement if they Team with Copyright holders
They eventually Lose Clients unless They Get Paid From Copyright holders & I Doubt That
And The ISPs They don't want to Team up With A Lost Cause That's What I believe

Really because that's exactly how it went in the United States when they introduced the Six Strikes program. A lot of people even started complaining about their bills. Guess why? These scumbags had the nerve to raise their price to pay for the program, effectively using your money to spy on you. What a world we live in. *no*

My 14 year old son was telling me about this last week.

Four letters saying "You are NAUGHTY!", then............ NADA!

Waste of time, resources and, of course, MONEY! But then, when you`re coining it in already, charging a nation extortionate connection fees for some of the slowest damn speeds available worldwide, I guess you`ve got money to burn.

Top DL speed here = 450kbps. :snuffy:

    Nice link, thanks.

"This tracking company collects IP-addresses from BitTorrent swarms and sends its findings directly to the Internet providers."

That's what I suppose we all expected. So if you jump on a torrent for the latest hollywood movie or pop album on a public tracker, you're at risk of a dreaded letter, but otherwise business as usual. I rarely get movies anyway.

When they start coming for sample packs and VST plugins I'm in big trouble.

Speeds must get slower the more north you are 250kbps here.

but reading through the article it looks like its just torrents not links, is because businesses use links to send files a round the world and can not block them :dunno:

blocking people not answer because they will find ways to get round it like forcing them to go to the hidden Wiki. Where downloading films, music and software is replace by all the nasty stuff that hidden Wiki has to offer.
personally I think its a jumped up kid, fresh out of university with a projected earnings bell curve chart showing this is what you could earn if all the people downloading bought your product.

In the UK Tax is killing business john player special is shutting down and you got ask how and why when cigarettes are about £10 a pack of 20. just show how much the F**king government making. Petrol is about £10 a gallon in the uk. In the US its £2.37 a gallon.

The point is its ok for governments to rape company's, but when the man on street downloads something because he can not afford to buy, due to the tax he or she paying.
    There classed as criminals

A good laugh would be to use make in the IP address of employees at said tracker services, CEO's and employees of recording industry, cinema and software Co's so their IP's are included with everyone else.
Just constantly flood the swarms with them.
