Interesting stuff... Cool that he's doing the series and making it public. But I wouldn't like to find a faulty wire in that studio.

I watched another vid about drum processing. In that vid he's smashing the crap out of his drums with compression, and it's on the drum bus. That is to say, he's not using parallel compression (which I usually do). Then he's using the SSL compressor/Ozone on the master. And he's got Ozone running really hot. The results are that his drums sound HUGE. I think I've really been under processing my drums.

He also did something similar with a drum beat he played live. Results were great again...

I also want to give a shoutout to Klayton for being one of the few Industrial artists that actually takes time out to share some knowledge and support the musical community. A rarity for some reason in this genre. Also thanks to Bryan Erickson, Michael Arthur Holloway and Tom Shear. You guys rock.

 

Some of that was fun to watch. Mostly just remembered ideas from it which is always good. Those finger tho.

Wow he hits those processors hard. Cool here and there but not everywhere.

 

Celldweller and BT back in the day were like the electronic geniuses. Their productions would be crazy with tonnes of layering and they really pushed all the musical technology available at that time.

Those were some cool/badass dayz...
