UPDATE - I did all steps very critically. Standalone works fine, Celtic Lib authenticated.

BUT Ableton doesnt show any Engine Plugin, so giving up on this and accepting my fate

FINAL UPDATE - IT WORKED !!

ISSUE was VST 2 DLL file was placed in VST 3 folder automatically ..

I replaced the file and now its showing in Ableton.

I can't understand what you find in this piece of shit that called "Engine 2"?

even Best Service already realized that the software was doomed from the very beginning to a minimal target audience (more precisely, to masochists) and a slow death... it became obsolete 8 years ago.

it has a lot of bugs, it requires too many resources when working with encrypted library content, its capabilities for customizing sound parameters are minimal and barely reach the basic ones, and the processing algorithms themselves are terrible and do more harm to the sound than they do good.

there have been no updates for a long time and there will be no more. neither for the player, nor for the libraries in its format. because it would be easier to make a completely new player than to improve Engine 2. in fact, Best Service did just that. now their new libraries are released only for the new Engine Player. just like all the old libraries are gradually being converted to the format of the new Engine Player.
and frankly speaking, for 3 years since the utility for activating libraries for (already dead) Engine 2 appeared, I have not heard ANY good or semi-serious or commercial piece of music that used at least one main instrument from the library for Engine 2.

yes, the new Engine Player also has a very limited set of options for customizing the sound of libraries, consisting entirely of ready-made audio materials, which Best Service once again decided to protect with encryption with all the ensuing consequences. but still the new Engine Player sounds better (and this is a fact) and works much more stably. Activation of libraries occurs online and literally in one click. but this is still a very mediocre software, which I cannot classify as "software for professionals".

and I still can't understand why Best Service needs this?...

for example, Spitfire has a huge catalog of high-quality products on several terabytes, which are known and used by thousands and tens of thousands of people (43+ million orders for the entire time of their work!!!)... and I understand why they decided to make their own software - they release their exclusives independently of anyone and without deductions from profits. it was expedient.

but how many library licenses were sold for Engine 2? and for the new Engine Player? in 8 months only ONE brand new library was released in the new format (legal users receive libraries converted to the new format for free). it would be better to release all their libraries for the familiar Kontakt - maybe then their libraries will start to be used in professional projects...

not all Engine 2 libraries libraries work with Independence (A witch says )

Independence and Engine 2 based on the engine,
but Independence only for Windows. and only VST2...

any way both these players - old dead software...
also Magix dead too, RIP and try again in your next life or in another universe.

So, do you recco Independence Sampler over Engine ? I honestly tried installing Ind also, but couldn't do properly so moved to Engine.
I just installed them cuz I liked some Libraries and they work with them.
Kontakt is the best solution, I agree !
