    Hi!
    1) How can I loop a wav file - 5 seconds of a vocal (a straight vowel sung for 5 seconds) - and make it loop/play for however long I want?
    (Looped in a way that we don't notice where the 5-second-loop begins)

    2) Let's say a vocalist sung each note (from C4 to C5) for 5 seconds (singing e.g. /aaa/ vowel). Can I build my own VST "vocal synth" via looping these vocal samples?
    So that I can play long chords and no one will hear where the 5-second vocal loops begin?

    I use FL Studio, but please recommend any software you know

    Thanks!

    yo for that type shit, if you just set the envelope of the samples sustain higher, and set the playback range of the pitch on the keyboard to whatever. it will hold as long as you hold down the key, doesnt need to loop. idk about the FL Studio sampler but with samples in general, thats light work

    though if your stuck on this whole loop thing, Phase Plant and Pigments both have samples as sound sources; and you can set the loop points, then its just regular synthesis as always

    Thanks!
    Do you happen to know a video tutorial on looping such vocal samples in Pigments?
    Or maybe in Vital?

    Is Pigments able to transpose the vocal sample e.g. 2 semitones up and down without pitch-artefacts?
    So that a vocalist sings only C, D, E notes, and Pigments pitches the "C sample" up to C#, and down to B, etc
    and I can play all the notes (B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F) in the piano roll...

    @a1000 : nah i dont; you gotta google though. its pretty lightweight in Pigments, load up the sample in one of the engines, turn on granular and set the size of the grains high so its seamless. or you can press edit and under "Playback A" or whatever sample it is; press loop mode, then set the points of the loop. you might hear the retrigger depending on the sample; but then change the attack of the VCA so it comes in around the same level as the tail of the sample

    with synthesis, the sound source is the sound source, whether its an oscillator or a sample, so it will play the key like its suppose too

    And do you know software in which I could load vocal samples and assign each vocal note(sample) to each midi key? (in this software/VST)

    Audioblast - Instalooper ---> https://plugins4free.com/plugin/2528/

    It is loops the incoming audio on the fly : with trigger buttons to loop the audio, and knobs to change the loop duration. It is synced with the host. Once looped you can adjust the speed and/or add an effect on the audio loop.
