I’ve noticed recently all of my Arturia plug-ins doing the same thing (see photo)

I don’t know why this is and I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happened to them

it seems to be showing the proper thing like pads and drums and bass but then underneath it shows another one (circled)

Is this anything to do with the extra sound library that I’ve been installed or is it just a general one of the mill error

I realized the same on my end and I guess it’s because of additional libraries installed.

 

To change the category of third party libraries go to explore, choose the preset and on the right under "TYPE" you can choose the category.
The LEADS-button disappears when there are no presets in it's category.

 

I have had the sound banks, library installed before and it never did this, this is because of 'user' libraries, not the libraries from Arturia isn't it

 

1. Go to (Hidden Folder) -----> C:\ProgramData\Arturia\Presets
2. then just move the db.db3 file out of there to some other random location (just in case you want to put it back for some reason).
3. Remove the ---------> "db.db3
4. Start your DAW with admin rights!
5. Your database will be recreated

 

I am on Mac and I have

db.db3
db.db3-shm
db.db3-wal

 

Hello @MusicMaker2023, I have no idea Mac, but it looks similar, just back up the db.db3 and then delete it!

On macOS, you should find the db.db3 file following this path: /Library/Arturia/Presets

Of course, make sure to reach the appropriate Library folder as macOS uses different ones.

Copy/pasting the path above directly in the Go to Folder menu should help facilitate things up.

Here is how to do it:

• 1. Open the Finder, click on Go in the toolbar, and then on Go to Folder...

• 2. Enter /Library/Arturia/Presets

• 3. And finally, find the db.db3 file, and delete it.

Once the db.db3 file is deleted, the preset list should update on the next software opening.

"One-of-the-mill mistake": it is not a general mistake by Arturia!

What exactly did you install?
It looks like you have duplicate files, I'd try reinstalling everything. It could be different teams (R2R & V.R) causing this.

 

Installed is Arturia Sound Banks Bundle 2024.10 macOS - V.R.

s!, the problem is because of two folders . Deleting “OB-Xa V" solves the problem.


For Mac users, the folder is here: /Library/Arturia/Presets

I had an OB-Xa and an OP-Xa folder in there - deleting the OB-Xa folder fixed it for me…

 

I suspect that's where the error lies. Maybe they filled it up incorrectly with sound banks that were already there.
I would install everything new and then Team R2R instead of V.R!!! -----> Arturia Soundbanks 2024-R2R

 

yes
if not using r2r and use vr instead , you do initial install and never touch it again , means no new libs .
these are very old preset fck up problems with arturia vr...
choose wisely...the vr rls have a shitload on presets but if you want other stuff later always go r2r ...

and never mix r2r and vr especially for arturia ,also when ppl reporting they had no problems or figured it out , if you want do music and not becoming warez doctor or having fun solving this shit just use that rule ...

Yeah, I did it once, I was fiddling with presets the whole day, organizing, cleaning up and stuff. Then when the update came out and I installed the update it all went back to mess So now I don't even touch it with a long stick.

 

I have sorted it, all I needed to do was remove the user presets from the rest of the Arturia presets. In the preset folder, there are folders for example, analog lab, and in that folder there is the factory folder and then a user folder. I have created folders for the instruments elsewhere on my SSD, just copied the user presets there instead...I can always import them again if I need them

While I appreciate the effort put into getting all these presets and distributing them on the sister site, I do wish they would do a separate upload for the user presets.
