    Can't tell, sorry..
Yeah, after so many years there is some words from lennar digital.

It seems like an update is coming... they are looking for ideas or tips to improve Sylenth1.

Until here everything is ok... my main concern is about the new license protection they're looking for...
I HATE DONGLES, well, it looks like there will be no dongle, but it seems like they are thinking on asking the protection trick from Urs (the guy behind U-he zebra and stuff)...

So the question is, if they implement the Urs's protection trick, will sylenth1 be a uncrackable plugin?
Bad days are coming for the warez family????

Anyway, Spire soldiers beware, the General is coming.......

Not sure if thats actually a representative of Sylenth. I though i might add this to the thread.

Eh, if it does become rather uncrackable, its not the end of the world. Sylenth is both good enough on it's own, and well within reasonable price to be worth the purchase. Not that the current versions of Sylenth1 that are crackable aren't good enough to keep on using anyway.

As soon as they don't get on the iLok - hardware eLicenser boat, almost everything can be cracked, just matter of time for R2R
As you can see also u-he stuff is around, yeah, with all the headaches it brings, but that's it.
And I'm not sure wether Urs will show them really each and every trick he uses for his own plug-ins, maybe the basic scheme,
but probably on the first version the protection may be weaker. So no biggies.
btw for me it will be worth the money if they finally build a x64 version.
Thanks for the info Regz :mates:

even if good old lennar takes 1000 bucks for his fucking awesome shit. Even if i need 3 dongles to use it. Even if he wants me to suck his dick. I will do everything he wants. That dutch guy is my god. There was never roughly anything in the synth scene like sylenth1. I am hoping that all the people out there buy it. Sylenth1 is 100% the general !!!!!!!!

..and if there is actually a sylenth 2 i will piss my pants

hopefully they modernize the interface a bit & create a better way to deal with presets...

..and hopefully they do not too much. They might add a shufffle to the arp. They might, of course find a better way to manage presets but hopefully they keep their outstandding cpu management. And i swear, Sylenth 2 will not suck cpu like Spire, A.N.A or any of these bad copies out there do

I totally agree with keeping it simple & same idea. Yeah it's nice to not have to freeze & unfreeze synths all the time for CPU load...

when you read further, the guy from LD said that he sees the majority of people do not want a dongle, so they will exlude this anyway.
and they also dont want to torture their todate purchasers.

so no neeed to flip out! just keep calm and keep waiting.

im sure that anyone here me inclusive, if its affordable there will be no need for protection, the one who will have the money to buy will buy, and the one who will have the money to buy and he dont want to buy will not ...if lennar do the math is very simple ...low prices means more cash ...no super-awesome protection means more cash ...more offers from time to time will bring the ugly guy with money that dont wanna buy in the end to buy it (50% chances) ...even if we are musicians this does not mean i can buy a porsche ...but if it where affordable, there is 50% chances to buy one ...today money arent cheap ...now i wanna send a shout out to QUINTO from SKNOTE ...damn that guy understand it before all  THANK YOU SKNOTE!

Sylenth1, my favourite synth for years now. And although I see the potential from a new synth like Spire (way too cpu hungry at the moment indeed!), it still does what it needs to do. Of course, Dune .. Zebra2 .. Massive .. and all the others take some advantage from their updates. So that's my only concern with Sylenth1. Too long no news. And I won't go from Logic 9 to X untill Sylenth1 is 64bit (I'm not a 32 Lives fan btw). :dancing:

Oh, you swear... of course you do... because you took part on the developing process of unfinished 2nd version of Sylenth so you can swear... Come on man... where's the objectivity? I know you love this synth and i love it too, but just let's think in a objective way, waiting for the 2nd version to be released, checked and only after that we'll be able to swear something about it.

 This makes me smile!
Only because MR.Urs Heckmann (U-he) has just implemented a (tricky) copy protection matrix based on layers some may think he's an unbeatable software-God!! *no* Remember that FEAR is all that's behind his copy protection techniques. Based on his comments @ KVRaudio I noticed that he's an arrogant, self-biased person :excl: mocking about Reverse Engineers, when indeed they are far more skilled than him.

    Logic Pro 9.1.8 * iMac OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 * Intel Quad Core i7 - 2.8 GHz * 12 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 SDRAM * 1TB Serial ATA Harddisk 7200rpm * AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB

Don't get me wrong, I have no troubles but the CPU meter goes crazy. Didn't test a project with lots of Spire synths though due to the spike hits from only 1 or 2. And because there's already a lot of other stuff going on. So I'm not sure why there's a difference > ?

I'm sure there will be a cost for the upgrade. They need to cover the cost for making the new "code". I would say a third of the retail price. $50 or less? maybe..
It's been awhile since they release a huge upgrade.

Another possibility is that they make a sale for the software right now. Whoever purchase the software before certain date, they will get the free upgrade. I highly doubt they do this though.. This idea could cover the upgrade from new customers towards the old customers "free" upgrade.

It's not a trick, it's a common programming technique. Urs was talking about this on KVR, how he was thinking of sharing it with many devs. Then he had the nerve to talk about how the respect wasn't mutual from the cracker's side because of what some people have said in the forums (probably Kook  ). I think that would be a big mistake because for starters I would immediately start a boycott of all the devs involved and encourage everybody I know to do the same. That's what you want a lot of angry highly intelligent people with nothing to do now. Recipe for disaster.

U-he truly believes he's on to something LOL, other developers are falling prey to it also..

It seems he wants to play dirty, with cracked software even if users who intended to try before buy...just pisses me off

It's also seems he's likes a challenge, i can admire that, and would challenge him if i could!! (You can use our tools against us..... but we will use your tools against you, it's only fair right?

With the wave of new brilliant software, his projects can be avoided, even if his protections pick up traction, once it's cracked all the others will join too. Win Win

Catalyst & introninja i fully agree. For a while there were no u-he new releases... but recently the all latest versions were cracked super easily. So it seems his "efforts" have gone for none. I saw him post on audioz a while back saying he was trying to be "nice" (although posting comments on cracked sites acting snarky doesn't make you well liked) about it and turn cracked software users into customers. Well, people who crack most of their software are usually broke & can't afford to buy it (or wont) anyway. So those people aren't going to BE customers. Making it hard to crack will just make people un-instal it and use the other million synths that are out there today. If can afford it or are making money with it, you buy it so you can get the latest most stable version (crashes waste time & money). Honestly all this B.S. doesn't make me want to buy his product any more.
