Any Shpongle fans? Just saw them on the 10th of May. I've seen Simon Posfords DJ sets before, but never in my life have I seen the full band (12 people total).

It was probably the sickest thing I've ever been to in my life, and I've been to quite a few music festivals, electric Forrest and Coachella included. Any one else get a chance to see this amazing show?

Oh awesome, man! I've seen Shpongle with the full band / circus twice here in Europe. Once in London and once at the Ozora festival in Hungary. And I agree it's about the sickest thing I've witnessed. It's truly spiritual and so amazing.

Do they have Manu Delago with them on tour this year?
This hang drum solo/intro took my breath away in London, still gives me goosebumps <3 :

oh damn, full concert from the Roundhouse in London 2008. This takes me back <3. I'm the guy on acid and shrooms somewhere lol :

Shpongle's good stuff. Coachella has become a trendy thing these days and there are all these corny celebrities going there it's like bleh. I like festivals in Europe so much more.

Could be a case of 'the grass is greener on the other side', but Burning Man is still on my bucket list, also the line-up at Sonic Bloom looks awesome http://sonicbloomfestival.com.

Catalyst is a citizen of the world, there is no other side. I just hate when you go to one of these kinds of shows and suddenly there are like thousands of dumbasses everywhere.[IMG][IMG]

I like my underground...underground if you know what I mean. Otherwise it becomes a mere caricature for the braindead masses. It's like our forums with how many mooks I run into all the time on AudioZ.[IMG]

Frito went to Burning Man and DAW just brought it up as well the other day.

@floond: Yeah, had the hang drum solo and all. That bit was damn amazing. Also that fact that it was probably the last chance I will ever personally get to see Raja Ram play live for the rest of my lifetime was just solid as well.

@Catalyst: Yeah, when I went to Coachella in 2012 it was definitely something a bit trendy. Far and away from a more tight nit festival type experience, but the lineup is what I went for and it was one of the finest lineups I've seen. Going to Electric Forrest this year though for the second time, as that's a helluva festival experience. Really nice vibe last time I went.

hehe i feel ya. Europe has its share of festivals full of dumbasses too though :D I think most festivals start off cool, but if they are really cool word gets around and they start attracting the wrong crowd and drown in their own success.
