Why is autotune pro 11 so ugly compared to autotune pro 9 ?

But you don't rely on windows to secure your credit card number, do you?
I have those things and all my serials among other stuff on my computers as well - but its not windows making sure it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. That stuff is in a .txt file within a rar with a loooong password.
My serials and credit card numbers would be safe even on windows 98.
It's fine, I like Win11, I just transitioned over last month from windows 10, now that the ltsc versions are out. But I would strongly recommend not to think that a 'not as insecure as windows 8' OS is good enough to look after your banking data.

You're being hacked everyday with big techs like Google and Meta. I don't believe on data security nowdays, neither on OS or Internet Browsers. As the guys said, being online by itself is already a risk. But if you're afraid of malwares, just don't install things from stranger sites or click up randomly on things, and keep an eye on your machine performance.

This is not true anymore. Our computers are all so fast now, there is almost no chance of "acting weird" even registering to the user. You can be uploading and downloading, with a 50 track DAW project playing and barely notice any dip in performance. Task Manager is very easy to hide processes with convincing looking names for the malware. They make it look like some boring Windows service process, or other ways. You cannot trust that quick look you take to catch every little thing. Even running Netstat is not going to help you without using the correct stops. My point is that reliably manually securing a machine is next to impossible. It is a terrible idea. You do not even need to run anything at all for a machine to be attacked, infected, whatever.

For a number of versions, the quote " The Quieter You Are, The More You Can Hear" was right on the Kali default desktop background image. Waiting for your dvd disc tray to open and close by itself and your screen flipping upside down is not practical in 2024.

As someone who works in IT and with security I can tell you having Windows Defender turned on is all the security you need. Running anything else is just a waste of resources financially and of your device. And as a fun fact as most users grant security software all the system access they pose a risk in itself. If you know what you're doing and you stick to sources like the sister site and your not clicking on phising emails and stuff like that you should be safe. I haven't had any issues in the last 10+ years not using a dedicated malware or anti virus software.

Yes you are right for the most part. But as I said earlier, that's not the only measure I take. I don't install random stuff without due diligence. This has worked for me very well. I know there is always a risk, but my current machine isn't very powerful and antiviruses are resource hog. Even the lightest antivirus like ESET eats a significant amount of CPU and disk at times, freezing the whole DAW for minutes. Anyways, I think unless R2R or Audioz or some other sources that I believe blindly decides to include malware in their releases, I will be alright.
