They "know" their copy prot's have been causing problems? And they're switching to iSchlock to what... "make it worse"?
Fuck iSchlock - It's one of the main reasons I only ever run scene releases in the first place...

 

I just hope that it will be a shitty implementation and teams can still crack it.

 

For those of us who've had to deal with iLOK in the past, Antares' press release reads like an article by the Onion.

 

this is bad news since r2r doesnt want to crack ilok plugins we wont get autotune 12 i doubt team vr will be able to crack ilok kinda glad i bought an ilok usb and metatune but it is still a pain in the a** to have the ilok plugged 24/7 people will say there's alot of autotune alternatives but after spending years working with vocals nothing sounds as snappy as autotune and metatune

 

Maybe we will just have to use Autotune Pro v11 for longer than silly users and their constantly-update-everything anxiety will like. Oh well.

yeah sure that's why countless software that has been provided with license and protected with ilok never gets cracked im happy we got alot of stuff for free from the teams but cant deny the truth ilok is a pita and if every software moves to ilok amateur musicians will cease to exist

 

Actually it does. The question is what kind of iLok protection is used. So we can just wait and hope the teams can do their magic.

 

I mean i buy most of the stuff i actually use but it's sad to see some softwares will never get cracked for whatever reason we dont know dont get me wrong thanks to team r2r i got to experience uvi falcon which i would probably never used becouse i cant afford a 400 euros vst i own vps avenger 2 / parawave rapid / reason 12 / uad plugins / oxyott so im not one of those wont pay for audio software becouse i dont want to i buy what i use but again i would love to see those really wanted ilok softwares finally cracked after all these years

the thing about antares, is they are not the only player nowadays. there's plenty of alternatives now, some even free!

 

It's bad news why are they so greedy like they havent made millions with autotune

 

But they are the best autotune just sounds so snappy when you put it at 0 retune speed only metatune can do it like autotune

 

They are probably sick of hearing people "use" it too.

 

As someone who has suffered through their WIBU auth system, iLok is much better in comparison and I'd rather have it back than not.

I'm glad I don't have to suffer through waiting for support to manually reset my activations because mine were all used up by whatever bug the system had.

Imagine being in a session with an artist and having that shit happen?

It had got to the point where I had a trial of their Unlimited subscription and support extended it out until the end of the year just to make sure nothing broke for me.

 

The "countless software" that has not been cracked is not due to iLOK. MANY iLOK protected warez get cracked every dam day.
Start reading NFO's for a change. My reasoning (I can only assume because I am not a witch or in a group) for the best warez getting left in the dust is mainly due (again, my assumption, not necessarily a fact) to internal politics with the groups and/or possible under table agreements with involved devs/corps. It's NOT because of iLOK (fact). Stop making stupid assumptions from hearsay and forum threads being floated from those who do not know and look at FACTS only. I admit I am not in the know either, but I know for a FACT that iLOK stuff is cracked and cracked often. The fact that a lot of this cracked iLOK stuff is irrelevant flotsam is what it is - nothing we can do about it other than leave it to rot. Also a fact, the witches are in control of what gets cracked, not any of us. We grab what we believe is relevant to us, and leave the rest to rot. We can try to request the good stuff be cracked, but we are eventually NOT in control, the witches are. The sooner you realize this the better off you'll be.

FYI: Periods at the END of sentences help immensely.

 

All i know is that im not paying 500 euros for autotune pro 12 i dont care if it has ilok / metafortress / or the strongest protection known to mankind asking 500 for a pitch correction tool alone is crazy i paid 500 euros for reason 12 and it's a whole package with pitch correction both automatic and manual plus a lot of synths and effects if you ask me autotune is overpriced same for soundtoys that package aint worth 500 euros let's be real if you are a pro and can afford it then go for it but it's not worth it

 

man, wouldn't it be crazy that R2R would drop this year the cracks for the newest ilok protections???

 

I doubt it but it would be an infinite blessing that way i wouldnt have to have my ilok usb plugged in 24/7
