    Hi,

I have a question, why every time I open an audio track its always on mono (1)?
I want it to be on 1/2.

  3. Don, you really need to specify what the heck you are talking about. But maybe you need to create a mono track first, depending on your DAW of choice.

In live check audio preferences, click on input configuration (or output? only you know) and set it up properly.

If that's the case. If it isn't and we can't understand your problem, pleeaaase:

That's not the way it works in Live. Better, you can do it that way if you really want,
but there's input config right there to assign inputs and setting them up the way you like 'em.
It's more logical (and functional) to have a stereo track rather than two mono panned hard L/R.

It all depends on what kind of recording you wanna do! Theres no reason for making a stereo track if you want to record a single voice guitar etc. Stereo tracks a mostly for tracks where you want to record 8 figure stuff, overhead, expand your three configuration by two microfones etc. In most cases a mono track will do the job!
If you need a stereo setup, every solid sequenser can invite left/right in a stereo track .... especially if you have a pro audiocard!

Yeah, you're totally right, but OP was asking how to have stereo tracks, and when you need a stereo track that's nothing better than, well, a stereo track

Surely for tracking real instruments you almost never use stereo tracks (only for external synths and maybe M/S or stereo mic'ing).
