Never actually played it, but I always thought it looked interesting. I do however remember Colorado Trail by Dave Grusin. Sampled by the late great J Dilla. What a beautiful piece of music.

I was a young kid in 1990, but seem to remember they had this on the GBA or at least the Nintendo DS. I also get the idea that Crystal Chronicles on the Game Cube stole the basic idea of this game.

Seems like I remember playing this in 4th or 5th grade on the computers at school. I think it was all just green screen then but that was probably somewhere around the mid 90's. Maybe my school was just super poor. I don't know if I ever made it, heck i don't know if anyone at school ever made it. Always steppin on snakes or shitting themselves to death...or dying crossing the river, you'd think they'd learn to find something that floats before getting in the water, especially considering someone dies at almost every river crossing. I may actually go back and play it! I thought it sucked at the time and was much more into sega or snes. But now, I think it may be better than I thought back then. What other game lets you shit yourself to death or get killed by a rattle snake? That's pretty hardcore actually

yeah the 2 main skills necessary to make it successfully are patience and proper planning, neither of which elementary kids have in spades
