I only recently upgraded to Kontakt v8, and while it seems to work pretty well I have to say I'm a bit confused re library authorizations. Previously I was using either the Add Library utility or occasionally the old Kitty script. But neither of them seem to work any more, and while I may have just missed it, so far I haven't seen a new utility appear either here or on the sister site. That said, several libraries I have installed that would have required a separate authorization process in the past just worked automatically in version 8. But not all. Have I missed something? Is there an authorization process of which I'm not aware?

TEAM R2R KONTAKT Manager v1.1.13-R2R (available on the sister site) whether it helps? I don't know!

TEAM R2R presents a valid library installation / license generation tool for KONTAKT 6.6 and later.

You can easily add all your collection at once for known libraries. All now and then formats, KOMPAKT, INTAKT, KONTAKT 1.X, NKX, NICNT libraries can be located like official Native-Access does, for the latest KONTAKT.

for future references - "Kitty script" is a nonsensical term which is a mistaken derivation from the sensical term "KIDDIE Script" which made its presence known in the late 80's early 90's when the masses were just getting onto the internet. "Kiddie Script's", the resultant product of "Script kiddies", were references to "lamer" bedroom adolescent's appropriating code from others to "hack the planet" among other things which included warez, warez distribution, IRC scripts, virus code, pirating FTP sites, and reverse code engineering of just about everything. It is also mainly how/where "1334 5p34k" (e"leet speak") originated.

HISCO usually has a separate Library tools folder that you must migrate yourself.
The tools provided usually work with the version provided.

Between Native Access and utils sometimes things go wonky, look in

Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/Native Instruments/installed_products

and if you see libraries listed that are not showing up then delete line items save and reload NA so that NA can generate new JSON. Then reload k8. On the second load at most you should see libs if not, re-examine permissions and prefs for NA writes.

This is incorrect. There was a Mac Releaser who was using that as their nickname or "handle". That person also released some plugins and content. It does not matter why that releaser picked that name to use.

But you should get rid of those Kontakt scripts anyway. Use KLU from @Fred Bloggs or MacOS Add Library which was made by Junior Porcuicula. If they are not updated to work with Kontakt 8, then just wait until they have them done and available. Don't waste your time with the script versions, they are outdated.

I was actually able to get a couple of libs to install using the old Add Library app (the one based on Kontakt 5). Go figure.

Hopefully a comprehensive authorization tool will appear at some point. Meanwhile, thanks for your suggestions.
