You can try the following and see if you can handle it: 1. Reaper --> 2. Ableton --> 3. Bitwig
The workflow with REAPER is similar to that with Acid!

I agree when sony sold it to magix! it all went down hill! I still use Sony Soundforge now & again but have trouble with using vst3 with it. but for a free DAW https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform-free

there are still cracked versions of Acid going back to the SoundForge days available on the internet. It's okay to step back a version or 5 or 6 to get a program you like and can use. I rarely run the latest version of anything. If it works don't change it.. I still use Battery 3 from NI, it still works as well as ever..

Hi. I've been working professionally with ACID (Sonic Foundry and Sony days) for years. After the zero progress... I jumped to Reaper which, at the time was very similar in workflow to ACID Pro. Never looked back. It was the best move I ever did. 100% recomended.

I still use Acid (Magix) works pretty good for me..Windows 11. Problems usually happen when you run introduce too many plug-ins, I'm pretty minimal. Reaper is a good second choice but nothing like quickly chopping samples up in Acid.

thats still unacceptable tho for a DAW that has midi it needs to handle whatever you throw at it support was rude as hell too saying its not our problem i wont be buying from these assholes anymore they can take Acid Pro and shove it up there ass

No no. You may use REAPER totally functional not paying anything and with no limitations and so check if it suits your needs. The catch is that if you earn money using it.. you SHOULD buy it. I did. The paid version is 60 USD and last for up to 2 full versions (if I am not mistaken)

A new license includes free upgrades through REAPER version 8.99. There is only one version of REAPER. The license price depends on how you use it. $60 : discounted license. | $225 : commercial license. www.reaper.fm/purchase.php

I'm totally with you..They were always that way, Crashes galore..When Magix actually took over I was excited because of the stability issue..I've been on Acid (not the drug) since it was version 5 ...What made me laugh with the magix version is that when you go in to settings it's like they didn't even bother ..They look exactly like Acid 7...only thing I see changed it the color scheme and a shitty stems feature .

One thing tho I will give it credit, it made me save a lot of time doing some quick DJ edits.

thats cool im stuck with Live 10 suite and 12 lite those are my options lol FL needs to add looping like Acid Ableton is way easier when it comes to said looping i also like studio one 6 artist thats a nice program too how they ripped off everyone forcing them to buy pro was a shitty move tho i wont be buying future versions

Look into Cakewalk Sonar..I know a lot of people that used to use Acid and switched to that DAW and never looked back.

Reaper is free to try and only has a nag screen at startup when you don't buy it.
