If you're really concerned about privacy, Mullvad is the way to go. Be sure to use it with the Mullvad browser if you need an extra layer of privacy.

 

The entire point for a VPN is keeping you and your shit PRIVATE. NORD is crap. They set the bar that way when they allowed police access to their logs. ProtonVPN is another of that same caliber. NO point in paying for shit like that. Stay away from them unless you like flushing your hard earned $$ down the toilet and opening yourself to possible investigation. Mullvad, I have no word for or against. Unless you can verify that a VPN service uses RAM only servers and NO user logs are ever written to any sort of perma-storage device or transmitted anywhere offsite then leave it and search for something that fits the expectations of a real VPN. Unfortunately with VPN you get what you pay for - the lower priced "bargains" get you lower priced, bargain service.

 

there's probably a jdownloader plugin that you need to put your authentication info (to alldebrid) in, at least that's how it works for the realdebrid I use

Instead of paying VPN or premium hoster why not just try the demo of plugins and then invest money into that instead.

 

Premium account or VPN can be about $50 per year, depending on what service someone picks to use. Maybe for the same price you can buy 1 decent plugin every 2 years.

 

Indeed better one plugins which is usefull than each day a new which get barely touched since already a new is getting downloaded.

There are so many great plugins available for $50 or less.
Or rent2own.

But it is all matter of what one want.
Making music with usefull tools or downloading and collecting and not learning how to use them.
Or both

What is it you want/need?

 

I dont think anyone here is going to do your research for you. YOU need to grab a search engine and investigate the available options yourself. Keep the following characteristics in mind when researching;
- a particular service MUST be able to be verified as running RAM only based servers
- you must be able to verify that NO user logs (of any kind) ever hit perma-storage or are transmitted via ANY medium for any purpose
- Low cost or Free options manifest in low cost or free protections meaning not worth the time to even mess with...
- stay away from services that partner (or have been known to partner) with law enforcement or govt entities. The country of origin of the service itself has a lot to do with this.
- a service that offers their own router firmware (that you run on your own hardware device) will generally offer a more secure, and faster VPN experience. With a VPN router you can protect your entire site's worth of devices without incurring additional charges per device. Generally only the more expensive services offer something like this.

There's no reason to pay for a VPN that leaves you open to possible investigation, leaking DNS or WEBrtc information, collecting user log information, or allowing law enforcement/govt access to your logged ip information that should never, ever see the light of day.

- Paid VPNs are also dangerous
- VPN companies' claims of "no-logs policy", "encryption", "ultra-fast speeds", "private DNS", "obfuscation", "no tracking", "no IP address leaks", "no DNS & WebRTC leaks", "PFS", "kill switch", "split tunneling", "robust protocols", etc. are all lies.

Conclusion:

All of the claims made by VPN companies are false, so it doesn't matter which service you choose.
Don't worry, choose the service you like, leak your information, and get tracked by law enforcement!
