    All my life I've wanted to know what George Clinton did to create the voice of Sir Nose D'void of Funk.

    I just remembered I have Bernie Walden on my friend's list on FB. He used to engineer with George in the studio. I'll ask him.

    It's a harmonizer+modulator. Could always be some intricate delay + modulation. I do remember my old Ensoniq DP4 having a preset that sounded almost exactly like that.

    You could do it with a harmonizer plug in (the Eventide will be authentic) or you can throw it into melodyne and pitch it up a little bit and there you go.

    No, uppitching in Melodyne alone won't make it, there is a stack of short delays after each word and probably pitch modulation within the delay similar to Grain Delay in Ableton where you can assign pitch to go up or down with each delay or it could be a simple Frequency Shifter (or rather a Pitch Shifter) with LFO

    I've just tried this and got very similar results with both of them, although I doubt GC used Ableton back then :winker:
