5 too many? I couldn't pick 500 top songs without wanting to add another 500.

Nice choice with ST btw. I prefer "How Can I live Tomorrow..". but ..

My number one right now is actually a track by 16 Volt that Catalyst posted among our memes. Now I play it every time I check out that brilliant thread, and it just keeps sounding better. That chorus is great :boombox:

    16 Volt - Cables & Wires

    Five other favorites:

    Depeche Mode - Stripped

Nine Inch Nails - Starfuckers, Inc

Peace Love & Pitbulls - Cities about to xplode

    Front Line Assembly - Lose

    Skinny Puppy- Use Less

    .

I guess some ppl wouldn't like to call anything by Depeche industrial since they started with pop and reached such a huge audience cause they kept that element in their music, but to me they have a bunch of stuff that is just as raw and independent as others in that genre.
And even Mr Reznor was strutting on the light side back in the glorious 80's... :dancing:

Yeah, Trent totally had the New Romantic package goin on there. I like to check out some of the 'sins' my favorites may have committed down the line.
Makes me feel less bad about some of the crappy stuff I have done myself. :)
But I also think I like NIN so much cause there's some trace of that pop background in the way he builds his tracks. As I'm sure you can hear from my choices I'm a sucker for a bit of structure, variation and some melody, even in heavy and dark genres.
BTW I have a couple of 90's Megadeth and Suicidal Tendencies CD's in my shelves too. :guitarhero:

This is so difficult for me because what are we talking here: Aggrotech? EBM? Electro-Industrial? Industrial? Power Noise? It would be so difficult even if I narrowed it down to one subgenre.

I didn't even watch the trent video but I'd bet my balls that's Exotic Birds. *yes*

16Volt is the best band you've never heard. I think that was from a review I read somewhere on an Industrial blog but of course I had been into them from their Wisdom album which is fucking ace. [IMG]

Your balls are safe my friend, it was those lovely birds with fluffy hair :)

About the tracks, you could do like Matt and me, just pick 5 favorites. I could easily have chosen 100 others too, except for 16 Volt which I'm really diggin ATM.
"I fell in love with cables and wires..."
    it's great :grooves:
