Hi. I want to purchase the Waves Clarity Vx but I am worried it would break my Waves 12 cracked version. If it won't break, how should I purchase it? I assume I can't use Waves Central now. If it will break my cracked Waves, any suggestions on other similar AI noise gates for vocals? I plan to use it for live performances because I always have an issue when using reverb and delay on my vocal microphone. I imagine the waves Clarity Vx will help me a lot with feedback issues. Thank you!

if you gonna buy it you should have been demoing it deeply. I hope. So be sure it's what you need before buying.

2 which version of h'cked Waves you have? R2R or V.R? Thats a starting point to help you

3 about R2R I can say that Waves legit can be used with the h'cked version. But its a long story...

 

To be honest, I've used Wave Clarity constantly before and while it does a decent(ish) job, I prefer the BorisFX Crumplepop Pro. Way better IMO.

 

It's funny that you mentioned BorisFX Crumplepop Pro cuz the crack was just released a few minutes ago lol.

I am fine with decent-ish, I like it because it's light on the CPU. For live performance, decent-ish should be good enough for me, it's going to have effects anyway and any artifact will come out as part of the effect. My microphone will be split so I'll always be sending a direct un-altered signal.
I have never heard of BorisFX Crumplepop Pro before, thanks for the suggestion. It is very expensive though. How is it on the CPU?

 

1. That's true. I haven't purchased a single Waves plugin before so I am afraid to try before buy and Cracked Waves Central might break.
2. It's not R2R or V.R., it's for Mac, I forgot who did it.
3. That's good to know, I think on Windows I have the R2R one 'cause I would normally choose R2R first.
