I have a few problems with the new Kontakt 8 from Bobdule
All my libraries are displayed in the old view but not in the new browser, why is that and how can I fix the problem?
In the new Kontakt 8 when I click on Launch Library Tool it does not open, instead a win message with which app the program should be opened .

 

Honestly you should wait a few weeks to get Kontakt 8, there will be a lot of patches and problems this early.

 

I found a working fix to get all libraries working in KONTAKT 8 (Bob_Dule version).
If you create a folder and cut and paste all the .json files from path: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Native Instruments\installed_products to a new folder…
THEN use the “Kontakt_Button.exe” button in the KONTAKT 8 folder to point to your downloaded KONTAKT libraries, it should register the paths. Once this is done, you should now have new *.json files in the above path (Native Instruments\installed_products).
Re-open KONTAKT 8 and your missing libraries SHOULD be there.

Dave I'm having the issue where ALL my libraries are working in K8, APART from 3, it just says libraries missing in the left pane. Nothing I can think of has fixed this. Redownloaded library, made custom nicnt file, deleted registry entries. Deleted and replaced service centre files for the libraries, replaced xml file. Nothing. It's cinewinds pro, nucleus and symphobia. Any ideas mate?

omfg dave it fkn worked bro. legend. i can see the libraries now. it doesnt say "missing library" it comes up. you absolute fkn legend bro.

I have tried this, my libraries seem to be displayed in the old list but not in the new browser

 

I'm on Mac and I found a similar fix as quoted above
Goto to your shared folder and open the Native Instruments folder...then DELETE the installed_products folder with the .json files.

Macintosh HD:\Users\Shared\Native Instruments\installed_products

Restart Kontakt 8 and you should get a new installed_products folder which should update your missing libraries.

This worked for me on Monterey OSX.

My libraries automatically showed up in the new browser but I had to load kontakt 8 and give 5 minutes to find all the libraries and they loaded 1 by 1.

My suggestion is to check where you libraries are.

If it helps, I have k7 portable by bob dule and added ALL my libraries through k7 portable library manager. Then batch resaved them using portable standalone. I didn't have to add them with k8 add library.

 

i already had R2R version installed v7.10.6...today i also installed Kontakt 8 BobDule alongside the Kontakt 7 R2Rversion..no problems at all,libraries showing up.
So big thanks to R2R and Bob Dule ....More Love Mo Fyah

 

the NKS view browser only show NKS libraries. (only test SNPID 000 is showing here)

the database build is super long to scan all, reading regedit first and writing the json files when scan done.
the tools button launch was broken in 8, i changed the call.
