    Hello

I have been re-arranging my studio today and decided that one potential setup would be with my MacBook M1 Pro 16" in clamshell mode. We have reasonably good internet here, with fast speeds. However, when I put my MacBook into clamshell mode, the internet became so unbelievably slow.

I asked ChatGPT about this, and it responded telling me that the wifi antenna for the MacBook M1 Pro is right near the hinge for the screen and that when in clamshell mode, this screen gets in the way of the antenna.

    Can anyone confirm this?

Has anyone else had this issue with their MacBook and did you find a way around this (other than keeping the MacBook open)

    Thanks

Just use an Ethernet connection with a USB-C adapter

I have no more room for adapters on my M1 and I do not have any ethernet cables coming into my studio

buy one of those ethernet usb-c adapters. Or install a bridge/repeater.

Never had this problem, but maybe because it is an intel mbp. It has 4 ports and I still have to use it with a hub to connect everything I use with it. I have it closed and in an arc stand, so maybe that keeps the wireless obstruction issue from being a problem.
