that's interesting, but can't see why I would do that but still, want to have that option if possible. I think few people have already expressed their desire to test out Sequoia (me included, a 3k DAW why not) but I don't think it will possibly be big enough for the community, I mean maybe 1% will be happy about it. Others need something as well, R2R probably think about those guys too. So maybe more is coming. Anyway, what about other Magix DAW, are they any good ? Samplitude ? never tried that one. I remember using Sound Forge back in version 3 or 4 maybe, it was Sony or something back then.

1st phase being LexActivator and Wibu. SyncroArt stuff were requested for a really long time and it made into the first phase only.
What else can top that ? It probably something bigger. Idk, Avenger seems a logical guess but I don't find any joy using the older one and not sure what the newer edition have that other plugins don't ? but it is important because it should liberate the other VPS lineup (Stereo Bundle, Phalanx etc) along the way, which I want to try and see what it is about. I like their GUI for some reason.

Anyway the new Waifu emulator has no plugin it supports released for now, maybe the next phase is about all those plugins that use it.

Ah I just remember this guy, he clips stuff 5-7 times before limiting and doesnt use Eliptical or LP for high pass for some reason. It's not wrong or anything but I don't like his style and stop digging him. Now I got what you meant with 6-7fx in 1 ms. Clip/Item/Object/Event FX, I know Reaper has it and use it all the time. S1 (Event FX), Cubase and PT are more like real time render but you can stack it.

So he's a hot shot now ? good for him.

Spectral Editor in Sequoia is SpectraLayers integrated, if im not mistaken.

As R2R I would make personal ultimate vst and which will be free, and works like a charm.
Nothing innovative, something simple and useful.

I see a lot of people want Avid Pro Tools, Soundtoys Bundle, Sonnox and Avenger 2. Maybe we won't get them this year either

The question is whether R2R is interested in releasing some new iLOKs this year. Only then will we have something truly beautiful and enjoyable for everyone. Sequoia probably will be released, and it will be wonderful, but it is for the niche. I doubt that those who already use their DAW will change years of workflow for another one that is extremely different from the most used ones.

Can anyone tell me how to get Sequoia without having to download 8 gigs? Is that still coming?
And version 16 is good enough for me for now. The new features in version 17 are a joke anyway. (Although the introduction of a marker track in 2024 is truly revolutionary. )

Anyway, I'm happy to get a new version of the DAW I learned on. (Although I now mainly use Nuendo.)

I really like Sequoia. But I always have a problem when people elevate a particular DAW to the level of the "Holy Grail". (Although Mister De Porcel is comparatively objective. There are much worse statements. Not only with Sequoia.) There is often other software that is at least as good, but which you may not be familiar with. That's why I'm critical of statements like "the best-sounding DAW in the world". (In my opinion, a DAW shouldn't sound special, because that would be bad. Unless you like the coloured sound. Then of course it's "the best sound". )

Sequoia is not so expensive anymore: 1.785 EUR.
