I tried to find their client list since yesterday but only found few that's listed on their site and none of them is audio plugin dev. It seems like they are the direct choice for those that dropped iLok. Korneff, Audified used to pretend to be protected by that thing.

At first I was all in for the great Australian band Gong thread which started my day with a live song recorded at Bananamoon Observatory Studio in Talous, France in 1977, No More Sages Try...but then the LexActivator came up and was surprised that someone was erecting Lex Luther in a new Superman movie...then realized that I'm probably having a flashback from that 5 grams of mushrooms I ate in 2003 and thought...maybe the newer version of Lexicon PCM Total Bundle was coming our way!

Yea, maybe I'm still tripping.

I have these questions in my mind. It's not New Year's Eve yet. Why is the gong coming at this time or will we wait until Christmas?

 

the witches usually rub the Gong at this time around every year to give us some hints, sometimes puzzles, sometimes riddle. As for now, witches already liberating Lex's stuff (Audified, Landr, Korneff) so far, maybe that's just the intro. Better things have had happened in October and from past years we can see it can sometimes will be around Black Friday (I truly don't remember the details) so the community won't fall into the capitalist idea of spending money on things we don't need. So it's usually "Xmas comes early" for us all over the comment section signalling it's nice to have before Xmas. But maybe you're right, it probably at the end of the year, nobody knows really. We mortals don't have any controls over that, we can just dream, like the quote on the main post, the one that play the Gong plays the universe.

I think waiting is a torture for most of us... unless for BDSM enthusiast.

There's not many of the majors left. UAD, Softube has been partially done already.
Other than your own computer, studio and any hardware purchased outright, anything digital or subscription oriented, the ownership factor is very grey. It always stood to reason that if you truly owned something, the vendor wouldn't need to continue invading your computer space to check you own it when they already have your money. So it has become almost a cat & mouse viewpoint to see what R2R will remove next. I wouldn't go as far to say it's exciting, but it is certainly impressive when they successfully crack the supposedly uncrackable.

 

this sounds like something i would crack/create to handle shit like protools or universal audio plugins (both on ilok and their own software that handles activations and shit

 

I’d be happy with Oeksound updates ...
