Does anyone use both N4 & Aquas. With the R2R framework for Aquas, I got errors when compiling the Nebula stuff into vst3 (I read someone recommends using different machines for each). Is the way to replace Aqua framework with the 4.5 Nebula one when creating plugins & then revamping after that to use the Aquas?

 

I have both N4.5 and Aquas on my machine, I did install the R2R Aqua frameworks first and skip some steps on N4.5 Installation. No Errors when creating TimP vsts

 

I got the "Missing N4 Configuration File" error when trying to create I guess some AlexB lib. It all opens in the N4 plugin and works fine but sometimes it troubles when creating into a separate vst3.

What steps did you skip? I'm on m1 mac.

 

I'm using windows, I think this method might not work given the different OS but I did skip this part on the Nebula Installation (Granted I installed some aqua plugins prior).

Copy ‘System32’ files to System32 (eg. C:\Windows\System32) (Since there's some R2R Framework in the system32, I'm pretty sure they're the same but I skipped this part entirely afaik)

It could be something else tho, I think I had some errors in some nebula vsts, I wasn't following specific instructions with the azzimov skins and such

I can’t build VST3 with Nebula. But VST2 are generated without any issue.

For everything Acustica, it’s suggested to use VST2 as their VST3 are just wrappers anyway.

 

I have all my Aquas (except Taupe & Lemon) in VST3 & they work great. Guess, I'll just keep all Nebula stuff in VST.

Also, how do you organize the Nebula stuff, as it's just pasting files in respective folders, especially with libs with no particular skin. Do you keep a record what is what?

 

I exclusively use N4 to build VSTs from specific folder libraries. Then it’s easy to just load the “plugin” I want.
