i have the logitech C505e business webcam but when i put a document near it...its blurry

Is there any way i can fix this?

Solution: Hold the document further away

Reminds me of a tip I once read: "Don't waste money on expensive binoculars. Simply stand closer to the object you wish to view"

 

You may need a webcam with a zoom or macro facility for that purpose. The 505 has neither.

 

When my laptop's cam broke I briefly used an Android phone with DroidCam on Windows; pretty sure it had auto focus.

what you want is an autofocus document camera that outputs hdmi natively, so you don't need a computer and software to run your camera. like the Ipevo vzr


Note its a "DOCUMENT CAMERA" not a web cam, its made to actually work with documents, for classrooms, teaching, creating lessons and how to videos. a web cam is great for camming on the web, not so much for anything requiring autofocus,autorotation,etc.

 

For the webcam, as others said, not really.

If you got a smartphone that's less than 10 years old, there's software (free, but not open source) available to scan it to PDF and then for OCR though I don't trust OCR myself. But it's a handy way to get your documents into digital format(s).
