probably dual rectos would be my guess or at least get you very close to that sound.

active pickup -> TS9 -> any mesa boogie ever -> Cab with EV speaker (jk)

not saying Chester is irreplaceable (almost, what a singer) but Emily doesnt have the depth required to make LP music listenable like old times.

She delivered an outstanding performance with the new song. It's surprising how much I enjoyed an LP track even without Chester's presence.

i think Chester is irreplaceable lol

there is a video where mike shinoda is in a livestream and gets mad when someone says on chat that the guy singing sounds like bennington. the guy sounded really close to bennington, technically he had all the skills, and maybe the voice too.. the point being no matter how great the singer is it will always sound a bit off, kinda like someone singing nirvana know what i mean?

artistically speaking it is my opinion that they should be a new band, under a new name.
(not that i'm mad or anything at they for keep using LP name)

this Emily singing a Nirvana's song with her previous band. Everybody can hit the note, but she doesnt hit that other thing AT ALL.

This is one of my fav Nirvana tribute album. Creative Nirvana's Nevermind album reinterpretation, without sounding like Nirvana at all. The band just play like how they would, just Nirvana's song. Which is kinda refreshing to listen to. Back to LP, I think if Emily just chose to do her stuff without trying to be Chester, it'd be a different story.

Ideally yes, but why would they if they can just re-use the billions people fanbase.

I've watched the live video, must say I didn't, it's painful in a way.

can confirm this, got access to a lot of their multitracks 6-7 years ago and 20+ guitar tracks tracked LCR per song + 10 more synths (different sections and all) on top of it.

My guess would be also dual Recto's but mixing is the most important as already mentioned.
Signal chain should be something like this:

    1. Gate (Just so you don't get much static noise when playing Chugs etc.)
    2. Pedal (Probably like TS- 808 Scream Pedal but only boost the tone knob without Distortion)
    3. AMP (Recto or pretty much any "Metal" AMP with lots of mids and high's, Neural DSP Nolly, and Omega should work fine)
    4. Cab (IR's are the most important part for a Guitar, Probably use Ownhammer Marshall V 4x12 )
    5. Basic EQ (Pass around 100Hz and another Pass at 10k Hz , small Bell Curve between 300-500 ish, and very small adjustments around 4k)

    Additional Options:
    6. Multibandcompressor around 100-300 Hz (Controls the transients from Chugs)
    7. Use Soothe or a dynamic EQ to get rid of the harsh transients (300-500 Hz,500-700Hz, 3,5k-4,5k,)
    8. Tape Saturation to make it more upfront in the mix.
    9. Some People boost 1-2db around 5k-6k Range with a bigger bell Curve depending on taste
    10. Use Bogren's IRX Plugin to give it more of that "real Cab feeling"

The Guitars need to be atleast Double Tracked Hard L and R, often people also try quad tracking if it sounds bigger.
I would also experiment with using different cabs for each recorded take so it sound more wide and "stereo-ish".

In my opinion you can use a lot of Neural DSP Plugins to get this sound since it sounds rather stereotypical.
What actually makes these guitar sounds so big is the arrangement and the effects below it.
In Meteora Chorus Parts were Multitracked metal guitars with an clean Guitar layer so the notes had more clarity to it.

You can pretty much use any modern Metal AMP with Ownhammer Ir's and it should work fine:bleh:

but i have a question regarding panning hard left and hard right why that?
also i used a double pan or surround binaural pan.. is it really needed to pan the guitars like that?

If something else works fine you can do that.
Just do whatever sounds best but in my experience Hard L and R works fine for double tracking.
Also literally any Pro Metal Mixer that I saw used Hard L and R for double Tracking.
Maybe there are Tracks where different Panning might work but I noticed that Hard L and R seems best.

The biggest improvements will come actually from the tone and not the panning itself.
I usually stick to the basics when it comes to panning.

I wonder if Steve Albini ever heard this "mix". It is an abomination.
