Look, Omni is great piece of software if you want to create unique blending, you will not regret to spend 40Gb if you have. It's the all you ever need + you get nice synth with subtractive, fm and many more synthesis. Imagine sound and you can create it.
You should try with AAS Strings Studio, there is a some presets of violin like this in ethnics section.
