can someone make Ableton LIve a VST so I can use it inside Fruityloopz?

 

i would love if ableton was a vst. I dont use fruity, but would use it in Protools all day.

 

I was using the Protools VST inside reaper VST, inside Ableton, but I kept getting a weird echo like a sonar ping, so I went back to using Cubase.

 

There's the Rewire thing to use Live as a slave of other DAW

 

rather was.....but there was a different method on the 10/11 version...dont remember

Found it!!
Latency is calculated from sample rate, and sample rate variable is initialized at 48000 hz.
It should be updated while plugin is instantiating, and wrote that code, but somehow I deleted it while cleaning unused codes

It doesn’t effect anything sound-wise, just reporting latency as it’s running in 48000.
I’ll release new version as soon as possible(I’m out of town now)

I didnt try it in a producing scenario, didnt hear it yet, will do soon and report more

Check also the phase when using mixknob, it's important, and the BYPASS button

and maybe check if there's a problem in the original VLC plugin, I never used it, so cant help on that. I just was curious about this compressor and started to test. Before I try the plugins in my studio I always check em at home with plugin doctor eheheh

Anyhow the Compressor behaviour seems to be very interesting, I think it will be worth once perfected

Now latency reporting works correctly for all available sample rate.
Bypass button from GUI is now working as soft-bypass, so it bypasses WITH latency and calculates algorithms.
It's better for bypass automation since it protects from sudden jump of audio.
If someone needs complete zero latency and lower CPU, we have to bypass it from DAW panel.

And just to be sure I checked 'MIX' implementation again, and it is safe of phase issue from v1.0.0 release.

 

Just curious, as I'm not that technical myself, but would it be also possible to create an UA version of Ableton's Overdrive tool, so it can be used in Logic?
