If it does everything you need it to do, and all your plugins work with it, what more do you need?

 

And since windows has backwards compatibility your safe

 

May be, after many years you will need to stop upgrading your OS. But it will take a lot of time if you use Windows.

 

yah. no need unless you get updated out of your os. I update pretty much every update, because they add new features that can make my life easier. If you dont need them, dont update!

 

i work on a imac from 2010, os 10.13… Working perfectly, sometimes a bit slow.. but for me who grow up with waiting (33.6k modem) im used to give my gear some time.. i’d say if it works good for you with what u got, stick to it.

 

yes there is a studio law that you must, + studio police will fine you if they find you are running v10

some people still run v8 or 9, or even earlier im sure
