But afaik, UAD doesnt allow license trasnfer, unless you transfer the whole unit along with it. Basically like an account takeover. Did they change anything?

 

Native UAD plug-ins run on your computer's processor. No UA hardware is required. Native UAD plug-in licenses are automatically included with any corresponding UAD-2 or LUNA plug-ins you own.

 

I understand what native is. But UAD doesnt even allow trasnfer of native plugins. I have the signature bundle.

I don't think you can sell UADx licenses, even via iLok transfer. You would probably have to sell the whole UAD and iLok accounts and let the new owner change the email and password. Happy to be proved wrong though

 

This has been already tried and proven not to work. You can't sell nor transfer individual licenses, which is what you have. Bundles appear on the iLok License Manager as the bundle name, and inside you can find the licenses.

Please right click on any of those licenses you wanna sell, then click on "Show Details", and upload a screenshot like the one I'm sharing here

 

And it means such deals cant be completed successfully.

 

And one more thing I have been curious till now: is it possible to make ilok account takeover without any issues?

 

As far as I can tell, the only way to make this transfer happen is with the whole UAD account being given up.

Once the whole UAD account is handed over, you can transfer every UAD plugin linked to the account from the previous owner's iLok to the new owner's iLok.

This would be a suitable option for someone wanting to enter the UAD ecosystem but not so much if you're already in it.

 

you can transfer UAD plugins, with the machine or not.
Machine will have basic package either way at startup on new login.
Previous owner can select which plugins to unlicense self and therefore be available for the new owner, via iLok registration.
Now not 100% sure about native.. i reckon with iLok this is doable.

 

Not true. Read my answer. I got a machine and plugins from previous owner, i dont have access to his email account. He did have to unlicense or de-gister from his account, so licenses are available ... like pokemons, you gotta catch them all!

I got quite a fe UAD things would maybe bit the reverbs or so, but def dont need the whole package.
Also it looks like you got several duplicated licenses.

 

I got Spark as it was 99cents for 3 months I wanted to test the Pultec against all the other Pultecs in my plugin list. I was shocked how it beat them all hands down with little effort. Def worth investing in any UA Plugs as they are among the best. I thought it was all hype. It wasn't
