Yeah, when I think of Sonnox, I think of Inflator and their Limiter... the fact they aren't included kinda takes the lipstick off the pig here...

Incidentally, both Inflator and Limiter have recently been on offer at around the same reduced price.

If you do not want to use iLok, Sonnox plugins are of course out of your reach.

 

i searched inflator on the site and its only 28 bux rn.. pretty good deal IMO. Limiter is still pricey tho

If you find a good deal on another website, contact them on their website. I'd rather do that and buy it directly from the developer. A third-party retailer being involved is never helpful.

 

Final sale goes through Sonnox so you have exactly the same service as if you bought the plugs directly from Sonnox!

 

How is that better? "exactly the same" is not better. You are giving money to a third party for no reason.

 

You actually buy the plugs directly from the dev!

Yeah, it's pretty good. I had the OG Sonnox Inflator way back when, and while I haven't 1:1'd it, (I know there are some differences), it certainly has the 'thing' about it... (which is pretty much just wave shaping with some other addendums etc), and you can't beat the price. And the dev has been active with updates etc...

(I know @ArticStorm has been posting it over at sister site as a reminder when there are updates etc (and sorry for tagging you my friend, I just also wanted to make sure it was fine to post the above link, as my recent reread/refreshing myself of the rules of this site made it seem like it was, just wanted to be sure I was in compliance and don't want to run afoul or make extra police work for you omniac and crew! )

There are obviously other ones that have been done in different daws etc, but this one works well cross platform/different daws etc, and even has oversampling (I don't think the Sonnox one does....could be wrong...)... and the above one doesn't have the band split crossover fully implemented perhaps last I looked..

But if someone is interested in checking out what it does and whatnot, I would definitely give it a toss....

Yeah, I heard about that... a few weeks ago you could actually get the inflator for $19 iirc... but not all the stuff included in the link you provided... I know a lot of people think some of Sonnox's stuff is old code and those should be the prices regardless, but they definitely have something going on, and without going too deep into their history, are the real deal from a lot of the scientists/originators etc that created the backbone and algorithms in other plugs we use today....

and I remember a collective sigh of relief a few months ago when they dropped the iLok requirements etc...
