The title pretty much explains it.
No idea what causes it but I don't get any error message.
It doesn't happen with any other plugin I've tried so far.
Does anyone know what might cause it? I've tried two different installs so far.

 

Might it be your graphics card and openGL support. Try updating your graphics card driver.

Hello! I recommend contacting Steinberg with the crash log from C12 Pro (freezedump.dmp) and forwarding the same log file to FabFilter.

You can investigate the crash log file yourself by using WinDbg Preview (windows).

This issue may stem from "graphics acceleration" on your computer, as noted in the FabFilter Support - Frequently Asked Questions. If this doesn't resolve the issue, reaching out to their support teams is advisable, as they often have effective solutions for various problems.

 

You could put the cubase crashdump file here. But you should really include relevant details like OS and version. And the version of the Fabfilter plugins. Is it one plugin in particular? That could also help figure out your problem.

No it's any of them. Only fabfilter though.

 

cubase tells you the right folder when the crash window pops up after rebooting post crash

but keep in mind: in that txt file there are a lot of personal info that you may not want to share with anyone.

I wrote "AFTER REBOOTING POST CRASH", you see?
when you open again cubase AFTER THE CRASH you should see a window like this attached
if you dont see it you probably disabled the crash reports, but it's unlikely and unsafe, better to know whats happening

from that window you should be able to reach the crash logs folder, which is anyhow located in
%UserProfile%\Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps\
