Theyve been putting sales on alot of their stuff. Its about the time they release a new 'Komplete' again. Wondering if that is ahead. They lure you in with good deals on old stock and then push the new ones a high prices.

Trick is doing a crossgrade upgrade during a sale. That saves you ALOT. Thats how i got Komplete Ultimate. Turned out to be like 200 bucks for a crossgrade Insane thinking of all the software you get. And some of the best at that.

Yes, the Apple way : no big discount because it means "bad selling product"...witch mean "bad product"
Even if nobody buy it, it keeps a sort of virtual "aura" to keep prices up

WORD OF ADVISE:

We saw a price drop about a year ago - just before a new model MK2 was released.
At that time we also saw a NEW PROMO - buy a Maschine and get 6 libraries for FREE !

SO .. my advice is that if you do buy a unit.... and are lucky enough to already have the software to install it ... hold off on registering until a freebie promo returns...

Now... if there is no 6 free libs promo this year... I will have wasted a few months of not registering my new unit. I do not see any other losses incurred...
