@MBC_Music hi yo! i dunno the colors are quite off and the fonts are not you know readable enough less is more and the distribution is not friendly to see. that's my advise as a graphic designer, hope help bro!

 

for example in this distribution yo can highlight the preset name, keep in mind if you make a video "screen capture" you can use it as a background "the actual synth while you play the preset" it will make the background animate in sync, and the same for the scren capture of the synth, it will be animated he he he less work mannnn

 

same principle for the screen capture but different distribution, just roll up the preset name while maintain the category, and bummppp done!

 

and finally if you like maaaannnn use it, everything is made in photoshop and all layers are separated

I don't have Photoshop installed on this computer, but I will look into getting it to add the preset names to the project that you provided in the link.

I think your design looks great. Definitely "pops" quite a bit more than anything I created for this, and the contrast between colors and categories for the preset type and preset name is very pleasing to the eye. You're right that a less is more approach works better in this case. It looks very clean!

I really appreciate the advice you provided and the example you've created. It's means a lot getting advice from a graphic designer as I have very little experience in that field.

The presets sound poor!cheap. Reminds me of the old free vsts [HG fortunes etc..]

Interesting, I just checked out HG Fortune Serenity and honestly it sounds great. Super unique sound for cinematic, dark, atmospheric, atmospheric. 4.2/5 stars on Plugins4Free. I really wish there was a macOS version because I would pick it up.

I guess that's a good thing if my presets sound like that. Are you sure you just don't know how to use sounds like that? Maybe they don't work in your genre?
