I don't know whether the customers are asking for more features or the company is doing this. But it seems that this software complication is a way to sell and make more profit because many of the things don't really do anything other than crowding the environment. I wish instead of this, they would add innovative features about music instead of offering repetitive things in a new form and image.

 

In FL 21 I still use plenty of 32bit and abandon ware plugins with no issue. I have several projects that are using a mix of 64/32/abandoned plugins with zero problems.

 

That's good, and a decent last resort, but there are some plugins which don't behave with FL's bit bridge.

Top is Steinberg A1 in FL12 64bit, bottom is FL12 32bit. The bridge screws up the bitmaps. Maybe this doesn't happen in FL21, haven't checked, but it's just another reason I don't bother updating. There's not any gamechanger new features anyway tbh (aside from custom color schemes I guess).

 

As ArcticStorm mentioned, you can have more than one version of FL installed and it shouldn't mess up your old version. You should try a newer version. Themes can be nice eye candy and Image Line has added few features and plugins since FL12

Yes, it's already cracked/patched. You just install the .exe file and that's it. All the plugins are also available with no issues.

You can use the free Infected Mushroom Widener and Scaler for chords. I'd rather Presonus focus on features rather than bloat S1 with pointless plugins which are covered elsewhere.
