What Kontakt libraries do you use most often?

    Im curious what Kontakt libraries you guys use most often.
    Looking to expand my collection since you can have never enough :bleh:
    Feels to me like 60% of new Konakt libraries are just some string or percussion libraries.

    Most used one's for me are:
    -Getgood Drums ( Matt Halpern,Invasion )
    -Jade Ethnic Orchestra
    -Eurobass III
    -Ethereal Earth
    -Damage
    -Pharlight
    -Gravity

    Always greatful to hear some other cool recommendations

    I use Shreddage and NI Session Guitars libraries quite a lot as thickening agents in the background. Evolution mandolin and Realibanjo for country stuff, whenever I get stuck doing that. And LASS. I use all kinds of things for one-offs depending on what's needed but those get the heaviest rotation I think

    They sound great for production but I mostly record string instruments myself.
    But if you are not a guitar player it can be really great for scoring and song writing.
    Also there is no hassle in recording decent takes and getting a great sound straight out of the box

    I tossed Kontakt and the bloat, and screw it... and I just embraced the fact that honestly all I need is BeAtSK1lzz plugs and Andrew Huang sample packs and his awesome cardset and I'm good.

    Depends for me heavily on the genre that im composing for.
    Sometimes I just need samples that sound realistic and often I don't have specific instruments.
    I get your argument though, collecting way too many Libraries can get in the way of actually making music.
    By this point im not even sure if I'm a gear degenerate or actually trying to improve my mixes:facepalm:

    I did this also in a track with a sitar to give the track more variation.
    So you usually have a "hybrid" mix of sampled and real instruments?

    Exactly. :wink: Sampled guitars can sound fine for chugging rhythms and things in the background on dense tracks... it can be a great sound to have something that sounds almost too perfect in the background with the real instruments out front... and it speeds things up.

    Been doing a lot of hybrid stuff lately, aside from the usual trap beats, so I'm using a lot of heavyocity ones. HY Pianos and Noire for all the keys. Khrim Drums Free and Djinbass for the metal stuff and Evolution Series for all the ethnic stuff.

    I use Submission Audio stuff on a daily basis (mostly EuroBass or GroveBass, depending of the sound im looking for), mainly because i dont have a bass guitar. From time to time i may need some symphonic libraries, then Spitfire stuff is my go to.

    Oh Noire is a good one. I usually use Keyscape or Pianoteq for pianos but Noire is definitely my favorite Kontakt pianos.

    I only use piano libraries because we no longer have a piano in the house. I whittled it down to three libraries...The Gentleman, Noire and Pianoteq. I do have a few orchestral bits and bobs and maybe one day soon will give it a go at composing something using those, so move over Hans!

    Drum Lab, Rudiments, Empire Breaks, Noire, Middle East, The Maverick, the Factory library, the e-mu Proteus Rack, Sonic Couture Vibraphone

    Though I use Kontakt a lot for manipulating sounds, sampling myself and so on. I kind of wish it functioned as a sampler/looper in that regard, but hey, other tools for that.

    Noire sounds great but I also like to use Una Corda since the sound has typical key elements but sounds unique.

    Heavyocity stuff is really great they have massive sounding presets and are nicely customizeable.
    Pretty much anything from submission audio sounds great but I stopped checking out new Basses after Eurobass III and Umanski.
    I started to use Krimh Drums in a new project and they are a nice change to the usual GGD Drums

    Never heard of this library before to be honest.
    I checked their stuff out and usually libraries like Omnisphere and ANA from Slate fill that blank better for me.
    But to each their own when it comes to sound libraries ; )

    I just checked out E-Mu Proteus rack it sounds great for more synthetic keyboard sounds but to be honest this is not really suited for my taste.
    The library could work really great though in a Fusion / Funk band or for more experimental genres like Dungeon synth.
    Using Kontakt to manipulate sounds is pretty creative but for some reason I always prefer my effect list window in Cubase haha
    Sonic Couture's Vibraphones are wonderful for some nice jazz noire soundscapes
