That makes sense. But if you delete your iLok app it won't work or will do blurry GUI. Deleting UA Connect does not mean someone's goal of deleting iLok is possible. Mine was just to use it without UA Connect.

 

Well, first of all, I think you quoted the wrong post. I didn't say anything about iLok or internet connection. I talked about SymLink.

But yes, you can use these plugins without a continuous internet connection. The licensing is machine-based, not cloud-based.
But you still need iLok. And you need UA Connect to download and install these plugins. There is no offline installer afaik.

Honestly I stopped using SymLinks since it's not supported by like half the shit I use. I can't even remember the last program I used that supported them or didn't magically break in some stupid fashion. I still use them for personal file organization but anything dependant on a program accessing it I've completely given up.

 

I "claimed" it re the kindly shared "23auexz5" code without having to sign up for and cancel a loop cloud subscription etc... don't know if I will ever use it as while I have a physical iLok, outside of Soundtoys, and some Eventide stuff, must be something else... but.. I just don't like iLok other then having to, and there is nothing here that compels me to use it with other options I'm sure I can live with as have my entire life...

but hey, I appreciate the heads up guys, and it's in the digital archive online hoard I guess...
