I didn't go into any philosophical or psychological roots. I was talking about your music.:shalom:

I have a principal recommendation for your music. You have to work on analyzing different pieces of music for a while to solve this problem. It's surprisingly quite common to almost everyone's music I know.

Don't be angry, I just wanted to help. We are all human and not everything we do is 100% correct. We must listen to each other, otherwise our art will remain stagnant. I just said that your music has no direction. Music without direction does not make the listener find his way while listening and gets lost. It's like a ship launched into space and moving forward in space without a specific destination. This topic is one of the most important topics in making any music. One of the reasons that a large number of dance music enthusiasts show their desire in dance genres is because of the lack of direction in dance music. You can see that a 4-minute song has been made, but no part of the music is connected with another part, and each part is moving separately. Not having direction in music production is like spending money without a plan in life, which causes poverty. If you want your music to have a direction, you should do the same thing as I said before and discover how to find direction in music by analyzing other people's music.

Of course, constructive criticism is fine, but It would be interesting to hear some of @Danie 's music so we have an example of what he/she is talking about. Show us how it's done kinda thing. Then we can be the judge of whether he/she has a valid point or is just another, if not the original, Foster. Must admit, the post wording does bring the infamous pink one back to mind.

At first I dunno exactly why I didn't dare to say something about your music because I was intimidated... But after a certain number of listening, I found the bases of your song (almost) simple: the element that moved me the most are the way your crystal-clear piano literally... "flies"! (dunno how you obtained this quality of sound, this transparency and this expressiveness... Perhaps something special with your fingers?).

The first part is exactly the kind of wise things a Grandma could say ("Concentrate on what's important: the persons you love, because they are about to disappear before you know it, all the rest is illusion...") Then you have this nostalgic harmonica, which cries about moments (and food!) that will never come back...

At the end of this part, on the last notes, I don't hear an harmonica anymore: the vibrating sound evoke me one of my favorite instruments: the Duduk, each time I hear one I can't help but be overwhelmed by emotion...

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think your piano play looks mostly improvised, so to sum up: it's a very, very special moment, that you will never be able to reproduce anymore, if ever you wanted to play it now live it should sound completely, entirely different...

So ultimately, you have captured a instantaneous snapshot, a second in eternity, and I think now that is the ultimate "raison d'ĂȘtre" of all our gear: computers, DAWs, plugins, synths, racks, monitors, mixtables, etc... are absolutely nothing... but a way to take photos of incredible, important, unique, and above all vanishing moments.

Is it our human way to seek a sort of... "eternity"?

Let me guess. Some non-specific bullshit about "notes"?

Sounds like Brent Mydland trying to play jazz, accompanied by Keith Godchaux trying to play poker.

I'll take it as a compliment.

Edit: Thinking about it, they're both dead, so I'm now not so sure what to make of it:woot:

The fact they're dead doesn't matter.

What matters is that I'm an almost exclusively 67-77 deadhead with a huge favoritism for the single drummer years.

So, it was not a compliment.

    (just kidding, of course)
