Hello everyone, I ran into a problem, can you help me?

I'm using Xfer Records Serum v1.363-TCD, I ran into a problem when the modulator is assigned, I can't control its amount until I hold ALt on the keyboard, this problem is for both LFO and ENV
and problem exists on VST2 and VST3
What should I do to be able to change the amount like before without holding Alt?
It works well in serum fx version

Prob a bug in version 363. I have the same issue as you but after I downgrade to 357, the issue is gone

 

Here 1.363 legit works ok, mod amount changing without Alt

 

Do you have a problem with it? Because I read the comments of that version that the serial code error or when you change the presetss gives an error and goes to the developer's site.

 

For some it works fine, for some it doesn't. I use VST3. I also tested VST2. It didn't work properly for me.

Running 1.368 here - no need for alt key when changing mod. Works fine. VST-3

 

It's generally an issue introduced with the cracked releases. Use the legit installer if you can get it somewhere, then use the R2R keygen. I think that worked for me last time.

Otherwise just try out different releases from different teams, one of them is sure to work. Then you can just stick with that until a newer version comes out that doesn't have that issue.

 

thanks, im using TCD version and has no problem till now... idk if i keep with serum... i just tried cause its popular and i know its really powerfull.. but with pigments i can achieve a lot of that stuff these days.. thanks!!

 

Xfer Records Serum v1.36b8 R2R (Also, this version is the last version so far)
Search and download this version. It is completely stable
For me and many others, all versions of TCD did not work properly due to the reasons I said

 

Pigments is nice, but there's no way I'd trade Serum for PIgments. Serum 2 is supposedly on the way in the near future. It's not going anywhere. Maybe the sooner you take the chance to learn it, the better.

what features or what can serum do, that u cant on pigments at the moment of making your sounds?

 

I haven't used Serum, but from what I've seen I'm quite positive that some of the main differences are the filter types, unison types and its parameters. Also, on Serum you have the ability to create and modify wavetables, which I think isn't possible on Pigments. I might be wrong though.

 

Newest versions are Mac OS 11.0+ system requirements. Older versions are still heavier resources usage than Serum. Much bigger pool of 3rd party presets and wavetables available. Almost as many as Arturia has bitmap picture files. The main difference for me is the number of instances you can put into a project. But that is all Arturia software synths for me. Their FX are bloated also, but some are unique enough to make putting up with it worthwhile. If I was trying to replace either one of them, it wouldn't be with the other. Serum is a workhorse. Its interface page1 gets right down to business immediately, like Sylenth1.
