I had inatalled kontakt 7.10.1 VST for windows and opened it up in FL studio. However, this bug/glitch occurs when switch between window views like library view and rack view with the mouse crusor. If anyone has a fix for this would appreciate it

The issue goes away when i downgrade to 7.9 but this is not what i want to do

another person here on this forum just commented that they too are having this issue, also the issue is being reported on the official Native Instruments

I'm doubt NI is reading and going to be responsive to this forum, or anyone can recode it for you here as it seems to be effecting few.... or look at your system and find out what else might be going on kinda thing...

I tend to stay with a solid version until forced to upgrade for some reason or another...

Sucks, but NI has really learned to suck over the last decade or so.

 

I think I'm using 7.9. No issues that I've noticed on my system (although different os and daw then yours so, yeah.. lot's of variables there).

Until it fails me at something I'm not upgrading.

I've used kontakt for decades now, and feel absolutely no urgency to follow their updates or give a shit, and especially since they were bought by hedge fund bros focused on selling shitty sample packs...

 

The current version of Kontakt is 7.10.5. Have you tried that?

If so, the answer is no, I haven't. I'm on 7.9 HCiSO release (own legit as well, but...), and everything is working fine outside of the normal NI f'ing things up for no reason (user accessible database and defined folders outside of their shill 'market') and apparently the same problems everyone else complains about in terms of loading (but again, I'm on macOS, and it reads like that later iterations haven't done much to fix that)...

So until something is broken, or I need a higher version for some library or something is acting funny, or they fix or re-enable some of the things I liked about previous versions of Kontakt, or KLU2 (sky point and thanks to Fred Bloggs) I'm just kinda staying pat, as it's working, and I'm not too much of an update hound outside of need, security, improvements etc... and while the change logs may say one thing, the NI forums say another... It's just not a big deal to me if it's working fine.

I don't know why one wouldn't roll back if they were experiencing problems... (outside of perhaps screwing up things like batch saves or something that may get nerfed with rolling back)...

 

you arent wrong about the sample packs, sadly enough, the third party libraires i would like to use require 7.10, kinda sucks to be honest. All of these bugs and they just focus on the money instead of ensuring the product is actually stable. All that purchased kontakt do or dont have these issues and its fustrating the support team hasant even got back on it.

 

Oh yeah, it's definitely not a problem caused by using legit vs. k'd... it's the direction of the company.

And they fired a massive amount of staff that were on top of it and been there for awhile etc...

It's been "stable" for me, but the workflow and speed have changed (at least in how I have used it for 20 years (and it's insane to think I literally have been using it that long...)) .... sigh...

I haven't run into anything requiring 7.10 yet myself, but I'm sure as soon as I'm done typing this I will... any inparticular?

Kontakt was a great product for a long time, and pretty much the gold standard in terms of software samplers, and it evolved into being able to do all sorts of amazing things... I think somewhere in the v5 lifetime it crested at peak creativity without a lot of problems... but since then.... sigh... they just are doing stupid after stupid with certain things, and it sucks for me that I'm still quite reliant on it...

There's been 7.10.5 for Windows from both R2R and bobdule since the first week of June. Try one of those.

 

just installed and not even that worked. Still have the issue.

 

Some things to try.

disconnect and reconnect your mouse.
If it has a usb adapter, put it into a different usb port.
Power cycle your mouse if it is a wireless, with a switch on the bottom of it.
Try it with a demo version of FL.
Load it in REAPER.
Put a lampshade on your head.
Uninstall both and then put them back. Maybe with different builds.
Go back to old working version and wait for a new one.

 

I'm running 7.10.5 and can't reproduce your issue. I don't use FL but it's fine running standalone and in Studio One.

 

i still have issues with stadalone, im really not sure what the issue might be. Could be 2 different kontakt versions colliding with each other im not sure. I got kontakt 6 on here as well. But this issue also happens in reaper

I have this issue as well and it start from 7.10 and now 7.10.5. I'm Using Cakewalk Sonar but mine Shows rapidly Sand Glass/Cursor and kontakt's not working when it shows sand glass, you have to click rapidly on your wanting part.

 

The Problem SOLVED. Just update your Graphic Driver, That's It.

 

for me its even weird, Kontakt sometimes find library and when i start a new instance of FL Studio it says library not found, then i am re adding it.
Kontakt needs to redesign and stabilize the interface and library adding thing. As every user encounter different errors and so on. Kontakt should come up with something like how we add libraries with Spectrasonics Omnisphere. Never encountered such errors ever with omnisphere. Kontakt feels like Pain sometimes.
