all of the plugins were working perfectly fine, but suddenly it was asking for authorization, so i tried to do all the steps in the the instructions over and over but it's still not working, even after code signing and running the keygen in terminal, deleting & reinstalling etc
i have vintageverb bought from a few years ago and this happened after i installed the real version and signing into my valhalla acc online but the plugin's authorization error didnt come up immediately after so im not sure if this is somehow related and if it is, is it possible to wipe out my valhalla account credentials from my mac?

what am i doing wrong? please help.

this is the bundle version : Valhalla Bundle 07.01.22 M1-VERSIONS(XDIE)

    instructions:

    1. Install all the Valhalla plugin you need

    2. Replace files every file from “ ‘K ” folder of every plugin you installed

    3. Now you have to CODESIGN the plugins:

    3.a Open the Terminal

    3.b Run the following commands:

    sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Valhalla*

    sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Valhalla*

    sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Valhalla*

    sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Valhalla*

    sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/Valhalla*

    sudo codesign -fs - /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/Valhalla*

    3. Run keygen

    4. Use the file generated to activate

    5. ENJOY

There is a VR release that is newer and without all the patching. ValhallaDSP bundle 2023 12 macOS CE-VR. You have to install it via Rosetta, then you can run it natively. I'm on intel and not using either. You should probably clean up old install first.

Thanks , I’ll look for that bundle, and how do you mean via Rosetta? I thought Rosetta works automatically like it’s not an application.
Also by cleaning up its by going to the library files and deleting the VST3 folders etc, right? Cause that’s only way I’ve been able to delete the plugins.

If the installer is for a u2b software, your M2 ARM (apple silicon cpu) machine will run the ARM installer by default. They are forcing it to run the Intel x86 installer, because that is how it was k'd. A lot of problem software people try to install on M1 or newer will do this. They automatically revert to demo mode. Then they load it as Rosetta translated once, and it works. Then they switch back to Native and it no longer is the demo version. This happens quite frequently from what I have read. I am on intel, so that's the closest explanation you are going to get from me.

To really clean up an old installation, is usually easy if there is an official Uninstaller included. If not, you can use a program or do it manually. Some of these patched versions of things could make it more complicated to remove everything cleanly. That would depend on the patching and code you have run. The normal locations to find leftover files for deletion will usually work well enough.

You can try something like Audio Plugin Uninstaller by Wide Blue Sound, which is free. https://www.widebluesound.com/audio-plugin-uninstaller/ Or you can use a "cleaner" program, but I'm not going to recommend one.

If you are installing a software from a package file, .pkg , you can use Suspicious Package to look at the installation scripts and content to see what it really is going to payload. https://www.mothersruin.com/software/SuspiciousPackage/ Also free. Often the .DMG you will mount first as a disk image will open another Finder, and the installer there will be .pkg you can look at.

Or, you can manually look through preferences folders for .plist files which are sometimes left as remnants.

I am summarizing, you can read up about the stuff or maybe you will get suggestions from an Apple Silicon user.
