I've deleted them all. Over-rated and bloated. But that's just me.

    haha here we go again.

If you made your opinion soley from sister site, you will be sad. Many of the releases on sister site are not the complete release, and sound weird due to missing sample rates.

I find many of them to be stellar, including the older ones as well. I actually sold some of my hardware because acustica replaced a few of the units.

My favorites, Ocean, Ash, Gold, Sand, Pink, Wine, many many more

48khz and 96khz. Because who ever uses those?....

I don't know about anyone else, but I like changing my session sample rate to accommodate a plugin. Even using Patchwork and oversampling, and they still do not sound good enough to be worth the bother and hard disk space. The Mac versions work fine, but I think they are still much bigger than R2R's un-bloated versions. All uninstalled and deleted. I would never buy them, demo over.

Saved all the releases on a USB stick but with all the bullshit about sample rates and the fact I have plenty of capable plugs that don't have these issues convinced me to delete them all.
That's the nice thing about large capacity USB sticks.
They allow you to store large iffy releases until you decide to keep or deep six them without filling your hard drive with them.

I run various sample rates, depending on what client sends me, but i also own legit, so its not an issue for me. Other people may run at 48, which would be an issue.

I think there were some missing files or something in a couple of the releases. some of the eq not working or something like that. I believe they were releases based off the trials, which arent updated as much.

I have used and own/owned a lot of the expensive and rare hardware, and sold some of my units to use acustica, but thats just my opinion. I used to work at a studio that had real fairchilds, real pultecs (like 10 of them) etc etc etc. Hardware is still better, but in my a/b test with some units, it was such a negligible difference, that it made sense for me to sell the hardware.

Kept the framework installed to be able to check out the new ones that come own the pike from R2R. Deleted all the actual plugins though since a lot of them hog too many resources to be of any use, wide range. Not really compelled to use them much due to their sluggish GUI's and clunky operational nature. It seems like a lot of the "issues" encountered with the R2R releases are actually present in the "legit" versions which makes it even harder to justify their actual worth in a session setting. The entire acustica lineup, so far at least, is really just meh....

It's pretty amazing to see the lengths which some people will go to about these plugins. Anywhere from "buy new monitors or computer", to this and even better. But that person's "outdated" opinion is exactly what the thread is about, because of the R2R released material; Not about things people paid good money for. Those people are not faced with buyers' remorse, confirmation bias, and self-assurance about plugin shopping habits.

If you pay for a mediocre plugin, it will always be hanging around way longer than it probably should.

Acustica plugins are the best plugins ever. I went to engineering school 20 years ago, so i know what im talking about. Anybody that uses fAb fIltEr pRo q is an amateur at best, a complete wannabe at worst. Do yourself a favor, download the entire catalog, buy a new computer that can run them, buy 15k$ monitors, build a professionally treated room, and then do A/B test with UAD and FF. The difference is clear as day. Universal Audio makes plugins based off of crusty, old, cigarette smoke laden hardware that a bunch of nerds used in the 60's or whatever. Acustica makes plugins based off of world famous, stunning, beautiful hardwares. Dont even get me started on fabfilter. What a bunch of tools! They dont even emulate ANYTHING. Just a bunch of stupid math code. Ok mr smarty pants! why dont you go work at a science lab or something instead of making terrible sounding plugins with a UI that looks like it belongs in star trek. Giancarlo is one of the most influental people in our industry. OF ALL TIME. Some would say he's more influential than Phil Spector, Dr Luke, Bach, Jimi Hendrix, and Skrillex combined. If you arent using Acustica plugins, i hope you realize you will never be more than a hobbyist. Which is fine, if you enjoy making little nursery rhymes in your bedroom, more power to you.

I'm at 50% AA loyalty/discount... pretty much love every AA I've purchased. Really don't use any AA released prior to late 2022 however due to CPU usage (unless it's been updated to the new Ultra engine).

The last three AA's have been f*cking fire -- Dove, Wine and Sunglow have been phenomenal.

Giancarlo/Zaphod is a good dude. He's a visionary and speaks his mind -- and when he doesn't kiss people's asses, they cry.

AA brings the "Salt" -- I love it.
