A company with it's own software manager app, iLok, a subscription in 2024; is not going to leave something like this in their software. It will stop working the day after you think it really might not.

 

I have just recorded a video and will share it here. Maybe I missed something and actually it's supposed to work like that, but iLok genuinely says it expires on 11.06 and they're still working.

 

they probably only authorize on plugin load so they'll keep working until you close your daw

 

I have closed the DAW, restarted my Mac and they're still working.

seems to be an actual loophole in the coding if i'm honest. maybe wait a few days and update us (or look if you have any ST related links blocked in the host file)

 

I have this happen with every iLok plugin I demo. They do not nag, warn, or anything like that. They just deauthorize.
They probably deauthorize in some bulk way, so there is probably some amount of buffer long enough that no-one gets a 29-day demo.

 

Update: 15.06.24 - still working

 

hey, are they still working? did u figure out what made that work?

 

It stopped working after 7 days of the listed demo expiration period. I just bought more Softube plugins, no regret.
