Also, the transfer was strange. Basically, the download speed kept increasing until it overshot my limit and the download would failed; you can restart the download without penalty, which I did, but it did the same thing over and over. Odd, but I did manage to grab it.

Thanks @eXACT_Beats_ for that video. I'm not so sure that I grok Green's analogy of a visual collage in any linear relationship to an audio collage by using the software he shows to make what to my ear is sculpted noise, but his creative use of the software to craft the desire of his imagination is admirable.

 

The process isn't a one-to-one or anything, just an interesting interaction of mediums and technology.
Images have always been inspiration for me; it's just as common for me to see an image and have it spark a musical idea as it is for me to hear something and flip it, or build something from another element. It's always refreshing to build based off of something that wasn't birthed in my tattered-ass skull-soup, and I think a lot of people feel that way, especially since the twenties are seeing so many people are working in solitary—for a time out of necessity—creating solo works in the box without anyone else to consistently bounce ideas off or collaborate with.
I thought he found a cool way to drag himself outside his comfort zone and into a place of forced creativity.

 

I too find that an image can whet the appetite of my creativity. A picture can act on me like tea leaves foretelling the future of a song. Swirl them around in my mind and pour out the tea, and what is left is hopefully my fortune.
