AIR is taking a sizeable cut of this. Besides the licensing, it's more than just a generic convo reverb. Convology XT, for instance, can't do exactly what this does.

They also claim to be making it multichannel, in a future update, which if they are to be believed, implies a free upgrade that makes it comparable to something like MIR 3D or Cinematic Rooms Pro, which are also expensive.

Not when compared with Altiverb. But does it actually compare to Altiverb? Probably not.

Are they taking a page out of the Mac playbook? I thought Ableton was already v12 current version?

    You never know.
Someone will want exactly this: A huge collection of IRs recorded from different listening positions in that one hall.

I think it's a pretty great reverb if you're a composer, reminds me of the Teldex reverb from Samplicity, but $350 is way too much money for a reverb. My rule of thumb: will people actually notice the difference, or will it make your life significantly easier? If yes, then anything $200 and over might be worth it. Turns out it's "no" most of the time.

I'm sure people can notice the reverb, but I'm also sure they can't say where it came from or that it's different if I swap it out. You can get Pro-R 2 for $170 MSRP, and it can be the only reverb you have until machines replace us. Taped Space from half light is also a brand new reverb that sounds amazing, and it's just $45. I'm just very tired of the usual Apple premium pricing that Spitfire managed to get away with while delivering just an okay product most of the time.

Agreed. With some experience, our existing reverbs and IRs can be tweaked and mixed to fit our material very well.
Recordings of percussive sounds from this hall can be A/B'ed to get close too.

Insane, I would never buy a digital reverb for that price, I don't care what they or others claim it can do I just use Valhalla Supermassive, Oril River or any other free one and am totally happy with them, I olso have Reverb pedals and rack units that I've owned since the 80's till the 90's which I have from my session days if I needed a hardware externals. IMHO a reverb be it Spring, Tape, Can, Environment or digital is still just a reverb

Guys and Girls , why complain about the price when in Audioz we will pay zero money to obtain it ? Cant understand the psychological issue that most of you have to buy a plugin instead of have it for free . You should get some medical help and understand that if no one buys it the price will fall . We dont need them , they need us .

I thought that was strange as well, but it seems there are specific compatibility issues with Live 11. The following is from their support page which also lists the other known issues.

Ableton Live 11 is not supported at this time - However, Ableton Live 12 is supported!

    • Ableton Live 11 - source controls often inactive and not working.
    • Ableton Live 11 - recall not retaining at times.

I like the sound of this from their walkthrough video and the controls seems very straight forward. The price probably isn't an issue for the target audience.
