Hello,

I know that a larger number of people in this forum work with electronic music and genres around it. But I was wondering if it would be worth trying a metal / heavy rock sub-forum. In my time here I have noticed quite a number of people that stay in the shadows and simply wait for the odd ezmix, ez drummer/superior drummer, guitar/bass amp, etc posts and love them (me included).

The purpose of this post is to find out if there are more like-minded people that would like a place to discuss more of this, new band releases, plugins that work well for a guitar distortion, etc. You get the idea.

Hi SAiNT, sounds like a plan! Thanks for considering this.

 

I already told people this a while back that we would add more genres. I actually started Genre Specific Production for the purpose of allowing people interested in those genres speak of productions tips but they haven't taken off yet of course immediately people suggested a million other genres...that would stand empty as well. I will be more active in the Industrial genre subforum shortly but it would be nice if people didn't wait for someone else to do something to get started. It's hard for me to find time to also add content even though if you look around I am the top poster here by a long shot. For now feel free to add metal topics to Industrial and we will move them to Metal when we have enough posts. Industrial also merges with Metal for genres such as surprise surprise Industrial Metal.

PS there are tons of people into metal here. *yes*
