I'm yT addicted and unfortunately I'm NOT getting tired. I've spent countless hours (days, months, years) on mindlessly browsing, watching docus on random topics or following the latest gossip. It's really addictive to some.

To answer the question directly, no. It's the second largest search engine after google, so for the most part, what you seek you find.
I use it for research, education, music, entertainment, it really is a profound source of information. For research and education, (and general search engine) I use perplexity.ai focus youtube search and like xorome & Zoketula said summarize.tech has become almost essential.

Consider using some form of ad blocker there's tonnes of options.
Browser extensions like Adblock Plus, uBlock Origin, Ghostery.
A browser with built in ad blocking like Brave or Opera.
3rd party apps that allow you to subscribe to channels, make custom lists, listen to audio only, picture-in-picture, download video/audio, all without needing to be signed in or even have a youtube/google account. Check out NewPipe, Skytube, FreeTube, there's more and you'll find something for whichever platform you're on, win, ios, android etc.

I haven't seen many ads online for 15 years or more. My yt and general internet usage would drastically reduce without some of the things mentioned here and by others.

I am very picky about what lands on my subscribe list. So it is in my hands what the algorithm recommends me. If I click on something that I should not have clicked on - happens - the algorithm is stupid and recommends more of that stuff I do not want. Ignore it for a week and everything is back to normal. Not that complicated. YouTube is all about what you subscribe to. Just like TV: nobody forces you to watch every BS.

Not tired of YT because you can watch what you like, you just have to find it, but I got tired of watching stupid films and series though. The last decent film I watched was "Oppenheimer". That's a good thing. I have more time now for other, more useful stuff...

Has anybody else got tired of new films and series?

    I don't have a YouTube acct.

I Only watch 'Stupid Driver Fails' and 'How To' home repair vids.

It's impossible to get tired of watching people hilariously outwit themselves into near-death experiences while parallel parking.

Only since, like, forever. That's why I mostly re-watch stuff I've already seen and enjoyed.

it is so hard to find good films nowadays.
the film industry has turned into a expendable goods industry, just like the music industry

watched Oppenheimer too last week, wasn't disappointed.
People are also talking good things about dune 2, haven't watched yet
